MTS Introduces MSaver220 to compete Reliance CDMA Pack

MTS India, the joint venture of Sistema-Shyam Teleservices which is country’s Youngest CDMA operator has introduced exciting new Special Tariff Voucher dubbed as MSaver-220 for its prepaid subscribers in Kolkata and West Bengal telecom circles.

MTS India’s this new STV or MSaver-220 will offer Local MTS to MTS calling up to 100 minutes per day and local MTS to other network up to 30 minutes per day for a period of 30 days.

MTS subscriber can club it with any other Special Tarff Vouchers which they currently using.  So after the Daily limit of free callings subscriber can enjoy the benefits of their previously subscribed STVs which are mostly lifetime basis.

This STV comes as answer to Reliance and Tata Indicom’s CDMA Packs, and soon-to-be-launched Uninor’s STV197/198. For MTS Kolkata and WB are best markets where inspite of a CDMA operator it finds huge response.

Details of the pack:

STV Benefits Validity
MSaver220 *3000 local MTS2MTS minutes, applicable as 100 min/day

*900 local minutes to other operators, applicable as 30 minutes/day

*Can be used with any other STV to which you are currently subscribed

*No change of SMS tariff

*available on E-recharge only

30 days

Recently MTS introduces the second number series ‘8926’ in West Bengal telecom circle. In these circles, MTS is offering local tariff 1paisa/2 seconds for 1 year at just Rs 95 which attracts most of the customers. Early users got this benefit for lifetime. But with MSaver220 MTS turns down the local call tariff (onnet and offnet) to less than 6paisa/min!

MTS Mblaze, high speed wireless broadband based on CDMA EVDO is going to launch post paid services in Kolkata very soon, which is already available in Maharastra (Pune and Nagpur), Mumbai, Rajasthan and Karnataka.

    @Avishek Ghosh
Thanks for your reply, but have to add some other details. Firstly I am also a MTS supporter, and was instrumental in many people taking to MTS even in far off places including other states.

Now about On net calling I was mainly talking about TATA, please check tataindicom website, Unlimited 499 Recharge Voucher has 30days validity, with Unlimited Tata to Tata calling, including Local and STD(Unlimited Local T2T + STD T2T). No minute restrictions like Reliance. {please don’t confuse this, with another Unlimited TATA Offer for Rs.599, which has a different set of benefits}.

Now even in case of Reliance, still for heavy users even the said amount is cheap. The option should be available to those who would be running huge std bills to some particular numbers. I think you can imagine the situations were it normally happens.

Now about changing of CDMA connection. It is very much possible, because of OMH(open Market handsets), which is available very cheap. I use a Samsung CDMA handset and although I use MTS in it, it also supports Tata,Reliance or any other cdma operator. And these days OMH handsets are available very cheap. Even dual sim supporting sets mostly GSM+CDMA or triple sim GSM+GSM+CDMA is available at 4000 rs range, which supports any operator of respective technology. And please bear in mind those who are willing to pay around 500Rs/month for on net STD can easily afford these much money.

Roaming you are right, still they could offer lower roaming tariffs with condition that subsidized rates only applicable in States were MTS is already launched or while in MTS network.

Hope someone from MTS take these suggestions to higher-ups.

    Indian :
How does this match reliance and tata, They offer ON NET calling on ALL INDIA basis. Cant MTS offer Mts to mts calling free on all India basis. At least people could use it in areas were mts is already launched. Many peoples dear and near reside in nearby states for study/work etc.. and they want unlimited calling option. I know some people who are mts users who was using mts even before me, switched to other cdma networks for unlimited all India on net calling. Other thing is roaming rates which still continue to be on higher side.

Tata & Reliance has unlimited(90 mint/day)on net std calling with monthly recharge of 599..I think this is not a small amount…….& MTS has also some good on-net std packs…just search it from retailer/cc/internet….

I dont think anybody who uses MTS,can change his connection to other cdma’s…..people r migrting from tata & relance to MTS….& after launching of MNP ..most no. of cdma & a bunch of gsm users also migrates to MTS….

MTS creates a boom in sleeping Indian CDMA market…so just wait & watch…
BTW MTS need to launch some roaming pack also…but We think they r waiting for their pan-India launch…then they creates a new era in Roaming also…lets hope so….

    Keshav Jha :
MTS is really good. But the limit of 30 min/day is not so good. It would be better if they offer simply 900 min/month.

MTS also offers 199 pack in Kolkata & RoB which gives 1000 mints/month to all network…this have no daily limit like other telcos…u can utilise 1000 mints in a single day /or in 30 days & to offnet or on net both……u can use this pack with per second billing & after utilising 1000 mints u can enjoy ur dafault tariff(one whos has 1p/2sec…they can enjoy this)…..

    KOUSHIK :
AIRCEL KOLKAT & WESTBENGAL OFFER RECHARGE WIYH 125. AND 1P/2SEC FOR 6MUNTHS

MTS old users enjoy lifetime 1p/2sec with one time 95 Rs/-……& new users get 1p/2sec with the same recharge which has 1 year validity…so MTS offers r very cheap than Aircel or any othe telcos…..& Aircel n/w sucks in RoB….It has one of the third class coverage & n/w quality in RoB…..

    vivek :
tata is best.njoy true unlimited calls to indicom docomo virgin.

I think in this free list u can attach T24 also…..lekin sirf free hone se kuch nehi hota…..network coverage is bad in case of TATA……
