    { Kapil, your earlier post I have replied consequent to that post. So please check that post for my reply. Hope u have checked MTS tower Km distances from one another in NH. Atleast main centres where Local BUS fare changes they should install towers}

    While MTS is saying they got no money for mobile towers stipulated as minimum for CDMA, but have money to pay celebrities. Why dont MTS understand the value of mouth publicity?.

    Will anyone getting bad reception in voice recommend for Data?. MTS seems no interest in their old Voice customers. Other states it may be better.

    We are in Kochi-Thrissur route and we get mts connected calls most times wont last more than 2 minutes. Wish we were rich enough so that we could use other operators connection. MTS is the cheapest so we still use MTS. But towers are 1/3rd required minimum specified even for CDMA operators.

    We are not talking about GSM, but CDMA. Other CDMA operators have more coverage as they might be having more towers. MTS is worst in Kerala. Anyone traveling/visiting Kerala and Passing by Kochi-Thrissur route, even if it is highway please carry another connection, possibly a dual sim handset CDMA+GSM. Please go for Samsung as they got a good handset in this category.

    We are talking about main roads & NH. Other interior areas hope all can imagine the coverage.

    Friend I am from Kothamangalam city, passes through aluva, Thrissur to Kozhikode to and fro every week. I never feel any coverage problem of MTS. I think your handset is defective and fails to catchup signals in low signal intensity areas. I have the same problem with a ZTE handset. Now I am using Samsung guru B559 CDMA OMH handset, which has amazing capacity in capturing signals. So I am requesting you to check your handset.

    Thanks Kapil. I know ur earlier posts. But Handset is not a problem. I know several users, I too use Samsung set. As Samsung is open handset we put Tataindicom sim it works fine.

    You will know that they typically install towers along NH. But frequency of towers is the problem. Not much required towers. CDMA is best in voice Q. But MTS don’t have much money to invest like TATAindicom or Reliance CDMA.

    They were earlier using Tataindicom tower location also for transmission. Now they have taken it away. I think that is problem. When we first took MTS coverage was great. But now worst worst coverage, especially indoors.

    Now I know since u seems convinced of handset is the problem is the problem. But You can confirm this by asking, where the tower locations are to MTS?. Also check how many KMs distance they have between each tower. That itself will prove the fact of worst coverage. I think they should put the tower location googleMAP in their website, so that all can verify the distance between each towers

    Even in NH they put Towers at these much distance, it is not workable. The terrain may be uneven at places. At least they should use TATA indicom Towers as earlier. MTS employees are good to interact with but what can they do if companies don’t have funds.

    No money for tower network=MTS

    5 tower are too much for a city like Sikkim. You will not find too many towers in these hilly areas.

    In that case Ok. Still There will some obstructions in path ok?, doubt is 5 towers enough.

    MTS data services over mobile is too expensive.
    In bihar it is flat rs.2per MB.
    voucher avilable are 192 for 200MB,292 for 500MB and 392 for unlimited data. all voucher hv validity of 30 days.
    No doubt data services over phone is good but they are cheating consumer for such expensive 1X-data tariff.

    My wishes to MTS the only DATA operator who has Possibilities to do Something Great in Indian DATA Market but as of now they are OK in offers and expansion but in Services I get Very good Speed for Browsing at all times varies from 320-800Kbps and good Streaming Speed minimum around 600-1300Kbps..Overall I’m happy about MTS its really Mblazing for me in Chennai with my MTS-ZTE modem by the way I’m not a MTS employee and I tried all EVDO Services BSNL/RCOM (Tiered of its un-reliable speed almost at many places i Tried in & around Chennai)/TATA(Signal issues and low speed at-least in my home) finally found some happiness with Mblaze (at least at my home never tried away as of now but will post once I know it)besides BSNL is unlimited is just catchy though not very fast nor too slow as far as Chennai concern….I wish MTS can make a difference if they go according to INDIAN MARKET AND INDIANS DESIRE FOR A GOOD DATA SERVICES…Lets hope for the best at last they have only option of sticking with CDMA others have GSM too…
