I have been using MTS from more than 1.5 years.. The worst network i have ever seen is MTS only.. I m sure those who migrate to MTS will feel the pain.. I have been using Samsung Muzik SCH-F219 (MRP 3750 when i bought).. Bought this phone thinking only costly phones would be better but THE POOR NETWORK did not do anything to my satisfication.. Please choose GSM networks.. MTS IS THE WORST NETWORK.. Till today there is no improvement in quality..

Seems like the legendary 1 Million Free Talk-time offer still is there in some states

Mumbai, Delhi, Bihar-Jharkhand states subscribers who are porting to MTS should surely make, this one time recharge below 500 rs(495/499). This should be done keeping in mind future, may not be immediate use, as the offer is valid for lifetime or 2028. They will surely withdraw this offer/limit the validity very quickly going by the experience in other states. NEVER TO BE MISSED.

In A.P,Karnataka and Maharashtra also this offer is there but with a deduction of 1 rs /day which makes it not so attractive. Still for heavy on net users the plan is great.
Still I wish MTS charge this 1rs/day after a 1 year moratorium period, since people may not be having a mts number in friend circle immediately, and getting charged from first day itself with out benefiting from it, is not a comfortable feeling.

So please check, and if the offer is there, PLEASE EVERY ONE ACT FAST, and don’t regret about the missed opportunity.

No rajiev. I have posted one of my bad experience with Idea on TT earlier too. If we call them on 198 about any wrong deduction, they tell us to call first on 12345 & find out about deduction then call again on 198. Also they show a dilly-dallying activity about taking complaints. After a long discussion they take complaints.

You can change operator to any GSM or CDMA or W-CDMA network in your circle. But since the new operator will give you a SIM/UIM/USIM, you will have to get a different handset to put that in.

even after MNP there is no improvement in behaviour of Idea customer care till now. this is totally unacceptable. i find BSNL’s Customer care has improved i mean when we call only they said pl wait and if it happens to be more than 1 min pl press any key and we will call u back and if we go in person to them they will harass the customer to the fullest.

Ya dude idea has rude customer care agents. This problem is present in all states . Now in karnataka idea cellular has started one survey where they ask customers regarding the behaviour of customer care agents. Dude speaking frankly customer care agents of all operators are rude. So its better to send mail instead of speaking wit mindless idiots.

Yes this is the problem we have balance left in earlier number . I still have balance of above 3k in bsnl and I now keeping charging with 1 year validity vouchers to keep the balance.

This is because old offers given by MTS can not be beaten by bsnl, and I keep using MTS mostly. I use 49p/min offer from bsnl to std only. Still it is only for exhausting the balance because here too mts offers same/better offer, that too with lifetime tariff. Seems like I have to exhaust balance through 3g of bsnl. But coverage of bsnl 3g towers has to be good.

But is idea so bad?. so many people are with idea still. May be because of abhishek/ash…Docomo was great in beginning but within in months so much of congestion. May be they have improved now seems many people in TT wanting to port to docomo. But they have some cute ads.

Even after posting earlier messages, I still feel to post on my disappointment on mts offers. I had earlier asked many people who were attached to their earlier other network number to port to MTS when MNP launches. MTS earlier offers being great, I thought they would make similar offers. Never expected this from MTS.

Earlier also I was surprised to hear from MTS top officials saying Mobile no: portability will have minimal impact on telcos. So I think same management thinking runs into the present offers from MTS in wake of MNP.

now a days people are left with many options to choose handsets of their choice even in cdma network phones .I think it would not make the people to go for mts just because of this offers. No doubt mts tariff is very very good. But in some areas network coverage is not good. It would be better to retain the customers by improving the coverage and service.

Why don’t you give such offers with Samsung .ofcourse these days all sets including nokia Samsung etc… is also manufactured in China. Still the supervision by the brand, makes us some what comfortable. And Please…………. Only open handsets only not network attatched-The primary purpose why people are not taking to cdma, although otherwise cdma is the best

Earlier they were offering life time tariff offer which was great. Old customers like me will always be with mts. but for new customers there is nothing mind-blowing in terms of tariff. Even if they give the tariff for 1year, but what after that. There is no guarantee that then there will be another low tariff offer. Any day old offers were too good.

MTS has the worst network coverage in CHENNAI. i cannot get full signal on the main road itself, if am inside any building no network. im using call divert to catch missing the calls (diverting to airtel & paying for the incoming calls[!!!]).

Poor Network. Am planing to migrate to another network.
