MTNL To Woo Uninor users in Mumbai, Launches 3G Prepaid Connection with Freebies for Rs.25

India’s first 3G Mobile and Data Service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced the launch of New Prepaid offer to woo  1.8 million Uninor Mumbai customers as  Norway-based Telenor which operates under the Uninor brand, shuts operations overnight in accordance with a Supreme Court order.

Today MTNL comes out to win these Uninor customers with its new service offers and special local advertisement campaigns are being rolled out by PSU.

MTNL Mumbai's new 3G Prepaid Pack for Rs.25 ( (SIM10+FRC91 - worth Rs.101) for all customers who want to port in to MTNL from Uninor Mumbai or any other operators as limited period offer. With this pack new subscribers will get Free Talk Time worth Rs.91 as a core balance, Free 300 SMS for 30 days (Local + National), Free 100 MB for 30 days and Free 91 minutes of Video calling within MTNL N/w for 30 days.

Call charges will be Local and STD 1paisa per second for all Voice and Video calls to any network.

According to MTNL, affordable 3G with uniform 1paisa per second call charges for Voice and Video Calls will be an additional benefit when these customers join MTNL Mumbai network. MTNL will be looking at acquiring serious MNP customers with mid to high data usage through campaigns at distribution and retail levels and ensure that its networks meets all QoS set by telecom regulator TRAI.
