After Triggering another price war in the International subscriber dialing (ISD) in GSM (2G/3G) space in Mumbai and Delhi telecom circles, state-run telecom major Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), today slashed ISD calling rates up to 80% for 26 countries for its Landline, Fixed Wireless (Garuda-CDMA) and VCC card customers in Mumbai telecom circle.
The new ISD tariff is effective from today and applicable to MTNL’s all Landline, Fixed Wireless (Garuda-CDMA) and VCC (MTNL Calling Card) customers as default tariff- without any Add-on pack or cost in Mumbai circle.
MTNL Delhi and Mumbai already reduced the ISD rates in June, 2010 for Postpaid and Prepaid GSM (Dolphin/Trump) subscriber as we reported earlier on TelecomTalk.
Now MTNL Mumbai’s Landline service users can enjoy ISD Call to USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand at just at 80p to Rs.1 per minute (depends on land line plan) as by default tariff without any pack (Existing Calls charges was Rs.6 to Rs.9.20 per minute). MTNL is now offering the lowest ISD rates from all other telecom operator across India for international callings to 26 countries across the globe.

Hi,
Could anyone tell me how much I should pay for making a call to U.S.A. after the promotional offer got over? Suppose I spoke for 15 minutes, how much I should pay for the call made.
Geeta October 7, 2010 at 1:10 pm
It was nice till it lasted, the ISD rates of Post and pre paid trump card are back to to original rates. The slashed rates were for 90 days only, which expired in September 2010.

MTNL biggest drawback is it’s indoor network coverage in MUMBAI , From past many days there is severe network issue in goregoan (W) area near station , piramal nagar , Mahindra Gardens , Behind mahindra gardens ,There is frequent call drops , Zero connectivity in indoor areas and the places like bank of maharashtra , Dena bank once you enter its network completely vanishes out , Infact complaining their their 1503 helpline there has be no solution , Ultimately i had to purchase new sim of DOCOMO and purchase new dual sim mobile phone . Gr8 MTNL ………I am satisfied with MTNL plans and their transparency but their indoor network ………….

Need to add more arab countries in this offer like Dubai, Qatar Saudi etc to get unexpected support from indians. Most of the Indians are working in these countries.
Expecting MTNL will look into it.
firstonnet September 15, 2010 at 5:10 pm
Awesome. Only MTNL who always think for affordable rates if it’s related to country or overseas. Hai kisi operator mein dum? Woh bhi without any tariff cutter, validity or per day deduction. Its by default what an MTNL sirji.
Kaushik Roy September 15, 2010 at 4:06 pm

Raghu September 15, 2010 at 3:54 pm
