India’s first 3G Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today introduces new prepaid 3G plan dubbed as Tikadi Plan (Triplet Plan) with Unlimited Free Calling facility (without any cap) on 1 MTNL Landline/CDMA number and 1 MTNL GSM Mobile number in Mumbai circle at monthly service charges of Rs.20.
MTNL’s all prospective subscriber can activate this plan by FRC88 which provides above benefits along with free talktime of Rs.33 valid for one year. The new plan will be available from 9th April, 2012.
Apart from 2 numbers, Local and STD call charges will be 1p/sec (Voice and Video). 3G Data/Mobile Internet charges will be 1p/10 KB. Local SMS to MTNL network (including MTNL Delhi) will be charged at 25paisa per SMS; for other operator in Mumbai at 50 paisa per SMS; and National SMS at Rs.1 per SMS.
How To Activate Free Calling Facility :
For Unlimited Free calling (without any cap) on 2 MTNL numbers, customer will have to pay Rs. 20 per month as group management charges and one time charges Rs.25 per number for Number Registration charges. MTNL To add Mobile and Landline Number, Tikadi plan subscriber needs to dial *456# and activate MyGroup service; and dial *456*1*91 (Mobile Number/Landline Number folowed by 22)# to add desired MTNL Landline/CDMA/Dolphin/Trump number for free callings.
Discount Offer for Existing MTNL Land-line/Dolphin Customers :
MTNL will also give loyalty discount to all existing MTNL Landline / Dolphin customers for Tikadi plan whereas they can obtain this plan at discounted rate of Rs.50 (Rs.10 for SIM & Rs.40 for FRC) in stead of Rs.98. However such customers are required to produce copy of their latest paid bill.

@Sanjay Bafna You dont feel that number changing/registration charges are very much high, to avoid frequent number changing MTNL trying to charge High then as a mtnl subscriber will never going to accept it. In other plns like Youth, Sakhi they charge nominal cost for number changing but when they added landline in this plan they unexpectedly increase the number changing & number registration charges, this time MTNL goes wrong way or may they not interested to increase their subscriber base because they are now on top in the Mumbai after sale of Rs 25/ Sim cards which got tremendous demand from Mumbai public. Still lots of sim cards are not got activation due to heavy load on server, every csc are busy in activation of sim cards may be due to their new programme MTNL MELA/customer connect.

Now a day in BSNL “Pyari Jodi” plan (Cellone to only one Landline number ) you can use FREE Calling up to 30 minutes per day only. While with MTNL TIKADI Plan “Unlimited Free” without any cap! And “Pyari Jodi Plan cost is also Rs.30/30Days.
Now compare it !

(1) With Sakhi Plan, Youth Plan and My Gruop Plan only MTNL GSM Number can be added to the group for free or reduce rate calling. While in ‘TIKADI’ Plan Landline Number + GSM Number are allowed so something different.
(2) To avoid the miss-use of Number Changing facility or to stop frequent ‘Number Changing’ – the charges for number change is ‘HIGH’ in this plan.
(3) For Existing MTNL Landline user, TIKADI PLAN cost is Rs.50 with talk time of Rs.33! while Sakhi Plan cost Rs.62 with talk time of Rs.32!
(4) In Sakhi Plan, STD Call charges is 75p/min while in TIKADI Plan its 1p/Sec.
Customer can choose any Plan as their needs and suitability because both plan are available

This is the 1st time that they taken care of MTNL Landline users, finally they added it but at registration cost of Rs 25/number. I think they personally not interested to add landline users in this section so that they kept registration cost more than the monthly subscription charges. It’s clarify that this plan is not affordable even for MTNL.

Registration of number is Rs 25/ which is too much. Much better to stay with SAKHI Plan just for Rs 53 with above charges. Also affordable rate to register number @ Rs 2 only. This time MTNL tariff team done fully faltoo plan than ever before, its mine personal comment.

BSNL have this type of plane with no monthly charge and 10p/min call on any two BSNL (both can be LL or GSM or LL and GSM ) number.
Also this is monthly service charges of Rs. 20. so you can call it STV for Voice call with validity of 30 days

This is FRC or Plan for new customers so validity can be for 1 year. TRAI’s 90 Days restriction is applicable for STVs (Voice/SMS/Data) only.
