Continuing its leverage of bringing best and affordable 3G services, India’s first 3G Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), announced the launch new Combo Prepaid Plan for its prepaid GSM subscribers in Mumbai circle.
The New Combo Plan-298 offers customers a combination of Voice, SMS and 2G/3G data usage, with Full Value of Money.
The RCV-298 will comes with talk time worth Rs.250 as a core balance, Free 250 Local and National SMS and Free data usage up to 125 MB. The FREE SMS and Data usage will be valid for 30 Days from the date of recharge.The free talk value of Rs.250 will be credited to customers main balance and valid till the customers prepaid account validity.
Apart from above Combo Bonus Coupon, MTNL also introduced on one long validity STV for its Pay Per Second plan at Rs.85 with 5 years tariff Validity.

Thanx for ur concern ! First two days after the installation of 3G unit at Sukhapur Exchange I could use with my N70 (have two cameras) and 6233 (only rear camera). But later no signal is accepted in N70 after that. N70 set has only GSM/Dual mode settings nop UMTS. As for n6233 – once kept in UMTS no signal from 2G operators..! But in the case of MTNL I had no problem – same set will work in New Panvel in dual mode (in N70) and when cross the limit no 3G supporting network from Sukhapur exchange tower (goes into roaming).! CATCH-22 situation. Only HSPA sets will accept the signal and that too in UMTS mode. Time being sims of bsnl (2 nos) are in incubation.

very true fact said. By the way have u started using BSNL 3G service now as it is available now at sukhapur, vichumbe, palspe, kolkhe area outskrit of panvel in raigad dist. And BSNL 3G signal are so strong they are available till meghraj thethre in new panvel .

Please understand that – if at all working while roaming in BSNL area – the call rate to pvt. operators’ number costs Rs.1/50 per min. Therefore nothing to worry almost all carry either BSNL card or other operators’ card. Even non-conformity at HOME…./

Dear MTNL Trump/Dolphin users, If you are moving with these sim cards to Maharashtra BSNL circle then please keep one private ops sim card to avoid network busy, no connectivity. We faced a huge network busy on net (MTNL to MTNL)calling during roaming in Pune Saswad city but same time other ops call was easily connected. Shame on such type of partiality from BSNL Mh circle. MTNL to MTNL call rates are less so that BSNL not interested to offer us better connectivity, other side other ops call rates are high (Re1/min) so that all lines are free. Same has been shown to MTNL ED & BSNL CGM. But no positive response from them. So it’s humble request to all tt readers if you are thinking to go for native place/summer vacation in Mh goa circle please keep ready other ops active sim for out going calls in Mh circle during roaming. BSNL Mh circle playing a partiality with us. Same message has been forwarded to BSNL Roaming team DGM MSC Kolhapur, GM, Circle CGM & MTNL Mumbai ED, Roaming GM Mukherji, DGM for further action. Lets see.

now just compare this combo plan with their own MTNL Delhi team postpaid plan 249. So same give cheaper 3G and roaming in delhi. But why discrimination for Mumbai user then!

MTNL has also slashed call charges in its Maharashtra Local bonus pack of Rs 39. Earlier customers were offered call charges of 39p/min to Mumbai ,Maharashtra, Goa and MTNL Delhi with this bonus coupon but now MTNL has reduced these rates to 30p/min in this coupon.

It is really unfortunate, why MTNL is adopting an INDIFFERENT tariff plans for Mumbai subscribers. Most of the workforces stay-put in far-flung areas like, ulhasnagar, and other places closed to the operational area of MTNL and have to face the indifference in so many ways (sorry, this comments may be my 102th one…ha.. but can’t help). Coincidently, Uran (far away from Mumbai-in comparison)is in MTNL web.
The video call facility offered by MTNL is very cheap compared to the pvt. operators (Rs.3/-min)-worth mentioning.

Now a days MTNL Mumbai marketing team concentrated only on Broadband plans & they forget (already stopped Garuda offers) that they are operating gsm & UMTS services for Mumbai Capital of Economy) such offers will never attract to subscribers, otherside pvt ops reducing, offering affordable 3G data plans MTNL Mumbai offering voice & sms plans including 125mb free usage instead of Gbs. Stil they are thinking that they are in remote areas of country. Need to think like MTNL Delhi. Where subscribers are getting unlimited 3g data usage plans. MTNL Mumbai not yet ready to offer such plans even for night. Now a days no one are interested to invest more than Rs 100 & see MTNL Mumbai offering Rs 298 coupons, see what a mentality of MTNL marketing team. They know that telecom market going downwards from Minute to second pulse after that they are wasting money on such coupons printing. MTNL Mumbai don’t waste Public fund in such coupons. How can CMD, ED approve these plans??? This is completely waste of money. This kind of coupon can’t afford by common man who always make voice calls & sms.

very true.. And I will add more point in above statement that MTNL Delhi gives roaming at 0.70ps/min but MTNL Mumbai still taking rs.1.50/min from roaming. Almost 55% affordable roaming of MTNL Delhi than MTNL Mumbai. MTNL DELHI is also cheaper in CDMA 1x internet gives at rs.75/mnth unlimited.. but not in Mumbai until yet .
