they have introduced one more pack 125 which will offer 2.5 GB data ….
Nd about disconnection problem with MTNL 3G on bsnl network its bcoz bsnl towers are 7.2Mbps speed enabled while mtnl can give a maximun of 3.6 mbps only…
It gets disconnected when the speed crosses certain limit so to avoid disconnection one should throttle the speed at 2.5mbps…
    enjoy

Please tell how do we throttle on android 2.3.x

their is no single application anywhere in the market or on google which can allow android users to put a speed limit on their devices by the way did you tried on your pc you can even limit speed in Idm …

I am feeling sad about myself. I am living in southern part of Delhi but not getting a singal bar of signal in my house. Outside sometimes it is one bar or two bar. Don’t know what to do. Sent many emails & calls but nothing had happened to deaf ears. I am getting full signal of 2G but not of 3G.

Does TRAI guidelines will not apply for MTNL??????????
As per the TRAI guidelines no STV should provide a validity of 90 days for the use of that STV.

TRAI 90 days validity rule is for STV and these (above plans) are not STV, all are launched as “Plan Vouchers”.

Hello Mr. Sanjay Bafna, If u refer to your own article titled ‘MTNL Withdraws Unlimited 3G Data Plan – 4500 in Mumbai’ dated 2nd April 2012, you yourself have mentioned that the 4500 3G plan, which was a plan and not a STV has been withdrawn by MTNL due to the new validity guidelines laid down by TRAI. but what u state here is contradictory to what you have mentioned there, could u please clarify after reading that article once more?

MTNL Mumbai categorized its all 3G data plans under ‘STV’ (at the time of launch/approval) so after the implementation of TRAI regulation, all plans under STV category revised or withdrawn as per regulation, if validity is more than 90 days.

While MTNL delhi introduced Half-yearly and Yearly Plan as ‘Plan Vouchers’ so that regulation is not applicable on that plans by MTNL in Delhi.

Everything is correct and perfect whatever posted by me on TelecomTalk :)

  • dskushwaha May 15, 2012 5:36 pm

    SHEKHAR :
    good….
but validity should be 30 days for 41 or 76

And why not price for 30 days Rs. 1 or 2?
These plans are for heavy users. For light user there is a monthly plan of Rs. 50 by MTNL Delhi. Go for it.

  • dskushwaha May 15, 2012 5:30 pm

    Praveen :
    Clever plans
    no monthly plans..
and who spends 1Gb in a day..
    so its all useless..

Then choose as per your usage habit. There are Weekly, Fortnightly, Half Yearly and Yearly plans also.
And why lament for what is not there. Make the use of what is there. If you want Monthly plan go for 4 Weekly or 2 Fortnightly recharges.

I’m confused, when MTNL mumbai scrapped the 4500 180 day unlimited plan it was under the premise that TRAI allows a maximum validity of 90 days for any plan, and simply coz the 4500 plan had a validity exceeding the permitted duration it was cancelled, now that they are introducing plans with 180 and 365 days does the TRAI mandate not come in picture..? In any case if its implemented in Delhi its only a matter of days till it will be available in Mumbai as well, the same thing that happened with the 1190 3G plan with 90 day validity, got launched in Delhi and in less than 2 weeks it was launched in Mumbai as well.

Clarify this issue Mr. Bafna. Here BSNL has changed their Student Plan too.

Me too confused how mtnl provide a half yearly or yearly pain because it against trai new rule

nice plan…i used MTNL in my area(delhi cantt.) average downloading speed is 50-70 kbps.

  • tushar May 14, 2012 4:24 pm

i use mtnl delhi while roaming in haryana almost 3-5 a weeks due to college..n it works fine on bsnl …no extra roaming charges..but yea,if u port any no. to mtnl then there may be certain issues that apn’s might not work..i ported my 4th no. into mtnl and this one gave issues that only ppshsdpa apn is only working both in roaming as well as in home network..customer care is useless…they could only help me getting fresh settings.. in home network i usually get 5-600 kbps during day time and occasionally while downloading multiples files it even goes to 2mbps..and at off hours its usually 1-1.8mbps…speed is not much but on comparison with tariff with private operators, its satisfactory..
