    Dear Sir,

MTNL Delhi introduced Half Yearly Data Plan @ 4500/- for 200 GB for six month validity. Is it for mobile only or will work for pc also without any problem continously.

    Hi:
I have a small query here, how does the rate of 2p/10KB apply to prepaid connections. If i recharge with lets say 175 Rs, i will get 1GB of 3G Speed and once that is over my balance is over (just like in normal phone) and i will not be able to use the connection.
The charge of 2p/10KB etc makes sense for post-paid, but not sure how it makes sense for prepaid customer.

Dear Abhi, This is the trap laid by all operators and I was victim like many others. Your assumption that once your 1GB quota is over your are disconnected a big NO, you still will access to internet and it is charged at 2p/10KBetc. Horrible thing is you will not be notified when you 1GB quota is over and new charge per KB started. If you are in the middle of download and finish quota within minutes your phone main balance will become ZERO after deduction of data charges at this high rate 2p/10KB=200p/1000KB=Rs2/1MB=Rs2000/1GB, very steep increase which is ridiculous but we have live with it. I complained but no use. They simply say they have no provision to inform.

I want to share one experience about MTNL: In my house MTNL 2G signal is good (full bar on my data card) but 3G signal has got not a singal bar but was stable. For many days I didn’t recharged for 3G data as I thought that I would waste money but then today I tried to take chance for Rs 42, recharged and amazed to get 1.15 Mbps speed. I will see this for three days and then will recharge for a month & then half yearly or yearly plan.

MTNL providing 3G speed 2Mbps to 2.8Mbps not bad at this price and no worry while roaming because home and roam same charges and any data plan can work well across india.

I never got 3.1 mbps even on 95% signal. Whenever I test the speed its always between 1.1 to 1.5 mbps. Once I recharged with 1650 for unlimited usage. But due to the heavy fluctuation of the speeds I managed to download only 60 GB.

    Dear Mr. Ramesh,
Its still possible to have 1GB for Rs.31.00 for TATA DOCOMO. Only difference is that now paying from balance is permitted only once a week for same denomination. Therefore atmost one can have only this arrangement only for once a week. You please check while recharing online. You try second recharge of Rs.246 after 7-8 days then definitely you will get it. ALSO WUD LIKE TO INFORM you that you should only click the link “online recharge” and proceed through that link. The link under 3G prepay plans will never allow one to pay from balance.

“3G Data charges will be 2p/10KB.”

Currently 3G Data charge is 1ps/12kB. The real purpose of this plan is to migrate customer from 1ps/12KB to 2ps/10KB.

Hello every one will you please clarify one question.
If i get a MTNL SIM can i use it in BANGALORE ? With out roaming charges on CALLS and DATA?

You can use MTNL sim anywhere in the country including Bangalore, without roaming charges but only for Data not for voice calls or text messages. I have been using Delhi circle SIM in Mumbai MTNL network for 3G data plan for the past few months, average download speed I get is 2.3Mbps and upload spead is 0.3Mbps. You can use it on BSNL network pan India. MTNL Delhi does not block torrent sites like MTNL Mumbai does, and it also has an attractive 6 month 3G data plan that Mumbai lacks.

on MTNL 3G getting 2Mbps to 2.6Mbps, best and value for money and with above Delhi plans i guess MTNL is cheapest 3G opertaor in the country.

Is there any operator which providing 1GB for Rs.175/30Days 3G data ?

MTNL’s main benefits that we can use all 3G plans anywhere in India with BSNL network without any roaming chanrges, thats awesome.

In Previous post of Tata docomo I had mentioned that Docomo 1GB 3G can be effectively available @ Rs. 30 but that is no more possible now. Intially someone has to recharge with 246 where 219 talktime available and by recharging Rs. 4 one can get 1GB data.

Intially own balance can be used for recharge, so e.g you have 219 balance from first recharge. Again recharge with Rs. 35-40 so main balance is 250. Now recharge with 246 and pay from main balance, so talktime 219 and 1GB 3G data was available but tata docomo walk up finally and stoped service of paying from main balance.
