MNP: BSNL Takes The lead In Andhra Pradesh Grabs 14000 New Subscribers

BSNL Takes The lead In Andhra Pradesh Grabs 14000 New SubscribersAfter loosing the ground in Pan India MNP, India’s National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) Andhra Pradesh telecom Circle  today announced that it was able to grab around 14,000 Port IN customers.

While BSNL lost 4,000 customers to other networks in Andhra Pradesh circle.

Till 30th January 2011 there were tons and tons of pending port in request from prospective customers who want to switch to BSNL and in last 3 to 4 days the ground reality has changed it looks like BSNL will take a clear lead in coming days in its strong hold telecom circles.

Mr. Rajeev Aggarwal, CGMT , BSNL AP circle stated “Our special tariff packs like Bandham & Nestham plan are attractive and affordable for everyone and we hope more the benefit from the MNP due to our low tariff and widen network. Presently as many as 11,436 applications are pending   or “Port in Progress” to join BSNL from other networks in AP, while 2,550 are opting out. So far 14,000 customers have already switched to BSNL while 4,000 customers have opted to go out.

With good services and better tariff plans being offered by BSNL compared to its competitors in Andhra Pradesh circle BSNL is likely tofurther grow,” Aggarwal told.

He also reveled that initially there are few glitches as the process to PORT IN to the BSNL vai MNP tools takes about five days but now it would be overcome almost.

BSNL is  not taking any MNP Port-in charges and offer Free SIM card (32K) to all “Port In” subscribers who Switch to BSNL. At the time of activation of all Port-in customers, will also get Additional FREE Talk Time of Rs. 100 in addition to the normal FREE talk value applicable with FRC. To my knowledge I am not entered into the agreement.
Please tell me how go about this problem,is there any number or office to complain.

I want to move to bsnl from RELIANCE POSTPAID with a CDMA HANDSET.

    1. If I want to go to BSNL POSTPAID, can I use the same CDMA handset?
    2. If I want to go to BSNL PREPAID, can I use the same CDMA handset?

    please clarify.

naresh :sir, bsnl is giving 100 rs. to customer. but vodafone, airtel are giving 350-500 rs to retailer. atleast bsnl is thinking about customer not the retalers. when the pvt companies stop giving commision to retailer then bsnl count will increase more,

Naresh, private ops will never stop it.. they are jus using retailers to push u to port out..not many are aware of market realities and hence get influenced by retailers. BSNL marketing should really pull up their sock and get their CSC in place else they will be in a bigger soup.

    FRC33 for “pyaari jodi” plan.

BSNL is just saying all different Offer, when contacted CSC, they say all different offer’s in different plan. That means you are just trying to fool out customer. Please try to learn after the static that say how many customer are porting out.

Friends, please do not port in to BSNL mobile.. they offers the worst mobile service in Hyderabad, there are lots of network congestion, call drops in bsnl metwork all over the day. They still have validity cards in this era of life time connection.. so please don’t shift to bsnl mobile………. you may shift to vodafone or tata docomo

It really pains me to see the state of affairs in BSNL. I have a BSNL EVDO connection n yesterday was my bill due date. I went to palayamkottai CSC three times from 12 noon to 2 pm. There was only one newbie sitting there who didn’t know how to accept my bill on the computer. He kept on telling me that all others have gone to eat… Please come again later.
Then at 2 PM after two previous attempts to pay the bill i lost my temper and shouted at the new guy. He finally told me that it was their employee union elections and all of the employees were busy with it.
Now can u dream of this happening in Airtel/Vodafone/Docomo or for that matter anywhere in the world?
BSNL and MTNL are managed by inefficient guys who fear their unions backlash and perhaps paid by private operators, deliberately over staff their CSCs.
BSNL serving the good cause of mobile and internet connectivity in every nook and corner of India but it has a bad image amongst today’s youth with its horrible customer care, bad plans and STVs. Can u believe BSNL has no combo packs like what all operators have?
BSNL has big potentials and can overtake Airtel and co hands down if there is a big organisational shake up. It needs a new dynamic leader.

    You said it right Benny.

U rightly said One may find in CC dozens of faces wearing worn-out glasses and sitting behind dilapidated wooden tables and chairs ! Those concerned and have the responsibility of saving these PSUs (include mtnl too) are busy in fixing cozy chairs elsewhere once the torpedoed ship is sunken !

I am a R-GSM customer from Mah. I am trying to get the MNP code since last 8-10 days but I am not getting the PORTING Request Code. I am sending sms in correct format but getting response like “Dear Reliance Customer, Your Request could not be processed. Please try after some time. Thank you”

But Reliance sent me the UPC code on my first attempt at 1900
reliance even dont call me for not porting

What I and my friends have observed is that if your R GSM connection is of within 1-2 years, UPC comes in an instant in first sms but we who were R GSM customers since 6-8 years ( total 12 of us ) went mad to get it – got it after some hundred calls to Reliance CC, 50-60 sms to 1900, 3-5 complaints with Reliance from each of us and several complaints to TRAI.

Only 3G will not do. Bsnl shud focus on 2G plans. It shud remove recharges that is done every 6months to continue lifetime validity and also charge 1p/sec to all netwk. And bring cheap onnet packs like 25Rs/month for 10p/min. Also a 30Rs/month of 1GB data.

BSNL’s number of net porting customers might actually be something just because of the free 100rs TT given to all porting customers. Im sure BSNL is doing this just for the numbers while incurring heavy losses. I dont agree with the idea of giving 100 RS TT for every porting in customer. These people might just use up the 100 rs and then porting out after 90 days… BSNL stands to gain nothing by this. Infact BSNL is eating away our precious tax money by various foolish decisions. U go to any BSNL CSC n u will find dozens of employees doing absolutely nothing… all eating up our money. BSNL is already in over 1000′s of crores loss
