Micromax has just started sending out invites that it will be launching its new budget offering, the Canvas Spark on Tuesday, April 21st. The smartphone will be going up against the likes of  Xiaomi Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000 Plus and Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen)

Talking about the specifications it is expected to bring with it, it will come with a 4.7-inch HD display and will be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor in all probability. It will get mated to 1GB of RAM. It will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the box which will make it the cheapest device in Micromax’s arsenal of devices to boot with the latest version of the operating system.

Like majority of the budget smartphones, it will also come with dual SIM connectivity and will get a microSD card slot for memory expansion. It is expected to be a sub-Rs 6,000 device and will undercut the pricing of all its competitors. Whether or not it will come with 4G connectivity is yet unknown. Micromax has already teased that the device will launch exclusively on Snapdeal.

The Canvas Spark will be Micromax’s answer to the other global giants which seem to have been eating into its share of the pie off late in the budget smartphone arena. We’ll have all the details about the device on Tuesday and you can check out all the specifications of the device then.
