    Saurabh :
yaaa poorest network in haryana is airtel, but may be because of 1800Mzh
    @hardeep
Yes that may be the case but Tata Docomo, Videocon, Aircel all have spectrum in same 1800MHz band and I have never seen their signal fluctuating like Airtel, even indoor. At my place Airtel has 3 towers and yet coverage is poor and call drops is a normal thing user face. Two of these three are not EDGE enabled which is shame for a company like Airtel who boasts of strongest GPRS network in their e-mail replies. Tata and Aircel(IND 807) has only one tower and yet they are good. Idea and Vodafone have spectrum in 900MHz so they have the best coverage in Haryana with lesser cell sites, especially Idea. At some places BSNL is operating on 900MHz band in Haryana and at others it is 1800MHz like at mine. So their coverage is also not good in my town.
So, I’m using Aircel these days as we have their own BTS here and whenever required we can select Tata Docomo also.

okkkkkkkk and i am using voda now after porting out of idea

VIDEOCON PROVE YOURSELF THAT U WILL STAY IN MARKET BY MAKING AWARENESS CAMPAIGN LIKE UNINOR (atleast in 5 circles which remains continuous service) !
    “V LOVE VIDEOCON!”

    hardeep :
Will docomo also go with cancellation of licenses?

You don’t worry about that as Tata Docomo has lost licenses for Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East circles. It will continue providing services in other circles. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Videocon Mobile Services as they do have good coverage in Haryana and is the cheapest operator and they are flourishing too which can been seen from subscribers data. Hope they retain licenses for some circles in the upcoming 2G auctions.
It would be better if DoT ban ICRA and Airtel loses its customers in Haryana as most of their customers are latching on Idea 3G network for Internet needs. People here are feds-up with Airtel’s worst network. Their license should be cancelled keeping in view worst QoS they provide.
Loop (IND 859) signals were stopped here in my town few weeks back and now I think Uninor’s (IND 813) will also stop appearing in manual search after few days.

  • garg April 8, 2012 7:55 am

wen will UNINOR exit the Indian market

  • Raghu April 8, 2012 6:01 am

This is on expected lines the Loop mobile leaving the market. But hope UNINOR,MTS,Videocon do not go away as that will make way for Operators like Idea,Vodafone,Airtel to increase the tariff as they want. Already !dea has increased the rates and i think others will follow suit soon.

  • Sudhakar April 8, 2012 12:00 am

    To all :

Lets support VIDEOCON. It provides cheapest tariff. It should not go away.

  • Jai April 7, 2012 11:56 pm

BUT I NEVER FOUND LOOP NETWORK AT MANY CITYS IN UP W.

  • jagan April 7, 2012 11:12 pm

Who is next operator to leave ?
    Uninor……….. ?
It’s really a big problem for subscribers…… Now they need to choose other networks ! They might activated some year long plans !
LESSER NETWORKS = LESSER COMPETITION = HIGHER TARIFF = HIGHER REVENUE !

  • Rajive Borde April 7, 2012 8:01 pm

    Saurabh :
Did they really sold SIM cards in Haryana? That 88 connections were on papers only and used by company people for trials. Every time I saw +3 or -3 customers with the release of subscribers data every month. When there was no commercial launch then asking for port out is just a joke… Uninor haven’t commence their operations in Haryana and they have 250+ customers here.
Next is Uninor for sure. They have only 38% active subscribers but on papers it is 40+ mn customer company.

    + 1 billion
