Loop Mobile Launches Mobile Application Store

Mumbai oldest GSM Mobile Service Operator Loop Mobile (formerly BPL Mobile) has launched its own Mobile Application Store, dubbed as s "Apps@Cafe" that has vast selection of over 10,000 free and paid applications for different mobile platforms such as Nokia - Symbian Android, Java and Blackberry.




It shows Featured, Popular and New apps. The popular App categories includes games, entertainment, social networking and local culture. There are also Apps from the local providers, including Hungama, India Games and Nazara, Spice, and Loop Mobile's own - branded apps. Subscriber can also search for the apps manually.

Loop Mobile customer can access the App Store by sending Apps to 50505 / 50800 or the same can also be accessed from the @cafe Portal / GPRS Home Page. Once you receive the link on SMS, click and open the portal in the browser available on your GPRS enabled device. Only the apps compatible with your device are shown and your handset model is automatically detected while you get to the app store via GPRS.

The App store currently supports over 4000 different devices/handsets that is optimized to match applications to the specific device. The applications are available in the range from FREE to Rs 10, while the games are priced up to Rs 150. It is available for Loop Mobile Prepaid & Postpaid Customers.
