Lava is known for bringing reasonably priced smartphones in the market with an aim to offer such useful gadgets without burning a whole in the pocket of a common man. Lava’s latest affordable 3G smartphone, named Iris 402+, has been now spotted on the company’s official website. This device is a successor to the company’s Iris 402 smartphone that was launched in August this year. Let us have a quick look at some of the chief features and specifications of this smartphone:

Built: The Lava Iris 402+ is about 11.4 mm in thickness and it weighs nearly 124 grams.

Display: This smartphone features a capacitive touch display of 4 inches that provides a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

Processor: This device has been powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1.3 Giga Hertz.

Operating System: Lava Iris 402+ functions on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform.

Memory: This smartphone carries a RAM of 512 MB and an inbuilt storage space of 4 GB. It also provides up to 32 GB expandable memory option by using a micro SD card.

Camera: Lava Iris 402+ comes with a primary camera of 3 mega pixels at its rear and a front facing VGA camera of 0.3 mega pixels.

Connectivity Features: The connectivity features incorporated in this device are GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth with A2DP, 3G and Wi-Fi.

Other Features: Lava Iris 402+ is a dual SIM smartphone that supports WCDMA and GSM SIM and offers dual standby option. This handset also features a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio with recording feature.

Battery: This smartphone has been equipped with a battery of 1500 mAh capacity.

Our Take: The Lava Iris 402+ is a decent smartphone. It has almost similar features as its predecessor but comes with a faster processor. This device is now available for pre order at a popular e-commerce website, Flipkart, at a price of Rs. 5,678.
