Gone are the days for the Phone which do not support 3G and HSPA …..I am looking for a
    HSPA with 3G handset…

I am looking for a cheap 3G mobile with video call, for data I will prefer data card. This will reduce my overall cost. Life of battery will shorten if mobile is used for longer hour on active mode.

you can’t enjoy 3g experience with that type cheaper phone.. Go for Nokia for best 3g experience.. Cool..

bloody crap lava dont go for this mr ganesh it will fry ur brain as all chinese handsets like lava micromax gfive karbonn phones emmit high radiation more than 1.8 SAR value. so why dont u use decent mobie of samsung nokia sony or lg??? it will keep u in the safer side. bcos of our indian’s mentality like impressed for exterior finish n small feature companies like lava micromax are growing.
AND I STRONGLY DISAGREE ABT MICROMAX TO BE CONSIDERED AS TOP 3 MANUFACTURER BECAUSE ITS A CHEAP COMPANY

I am not sure if a Nokia phone with similar features AND TOUCH SCREEN is available for cheaper than Rs 5,500

But you didn’t mentioned the feature “Touch screen”. Features you mentioned scheduled SMS, contacts backup, Call / SMS blacklist are available in cheaper nokia mobiles.

Further I downloaded their PC suite and tried to upload my phone book in CSV format. It doesn’t give me provision to map address book fields – hence I don’t get motivated to go for this

    Ganesh Srinivasan :
I went through the specs from their web site – looks to have few interesting features like scheduled SMS, SMS reply for incoming call [useful while driving / during meetings], 2,000 contacts, contacts backup, Call / SMS blacklist, PC suite etc – all for a price of Rs. 5,500. Looks tempting to go for one

All the feature you mentioned except big contact book and SMS reply for incoming call have already been given by much cheaper Nokia mobiles.
The function “SMS reply for incoming call” is vary irritating sometimes when you reject the call of some unwanted caller and for that you pay SMS charges which are as high as Rs. 1.5.
