India’s own Mobile Phone maker Intex Technologies today announced the launch of its new low cost dual SIM (GSM + GSM) handset, Intex IN 2044 GEM at Rs 1390.
2044 GEM comes with an expandable memory of up to 4GB and it boasts the immaculate audio output delivered through a multi-format audio player for better music experience.
It has a video player too and a fairly big screen, measuring 4.5 cm in length,which is expected to strike a chord with people fancying a big screen in basic phones. FM radio, FM recording, torch light and a significant phone memory (500 numbers) further make it a useful gadget.
The handset equipped with an auto call record and a mobile tracker and Blacklist application.Intex IN 2044 GEM weighs 74 grams. One can talk up to 4.5 hours and avail 320 hours of stand-by time.

Pros: Auto call recorder, Memory card support upto 4gb, FM radio with recording, Audio and Video Player, Blacklist (upto 20 numbers), Dual sim, dual standby, Personalised ringtones for different callers
Cons: Material quality could have been better. Sound cracks in ear piece(phone as well as headphones) and at times becomes difficult to even understand. No USB connectivity. No GPRS. No WAP browser Have to remove battery to remove Memory Card.
The cons are very few compared to the features it is studded with and the price it is available at 1220

Vinay You’re right . INTEX Phones are not available in the market. If the company is reading this then please publish a list of your dealers all over India for the convenience of your potential customers.

problem with intex n other company phones is that they r not easily available in market. i enquired abt zen mbl (with long batery backup of 2 months) but cudnt get any of the model.

usp of ind brands is DS features n their cheap rates compared to foreign giants. only thing to see is their batery backup. if the batery backup is good say of 20-30 days, then go for such phones.
using 1 DS mobile for incmng. n other DS mobile for outgng, both LAVA n the one used only for outgng runs batery for 20 days.
but now samsung has cum with DS models like guru 26 at just 2000 nd guru 35 at 3000. if u want call waiting in the sims then go for samsung c3212 at 3500.

pretty cool handset at low price. one can go for it instead of buying nokia’s 1202 which is a worst phone ever
