Industry Experts Vote Uninor As Indias Most Promising New OperatorUninor has been recognized as the Most Promising New Operator in the Telecom Operator Award 2010 organized by tele.net,a leading telecom magazine from India.

The selection was based on a survey conducted by the publication with over 160 industry experts and professionals where Uninor emerged as winner by a strong margin.




The recognition comes within months of Uninor’s service launch in 8 telecom circles in India. The company has already made a strong start to its operations, securing an average of 1 million subscribers per month.By the end of February, Uninor had secured over 3.5 million subscribers across its operational regions.

Accepting the award, Uninor’s Managing Director Stein-Erik Vellan said, “We are on our way; with a set of ideas, our way of doing business and most importantly, a philosophy that puts people first.Today’s recognition, by experts from our industry, encourages us to get there even faster. I accept this award with pride and on behalf of the entire Uninor team.”
