Industry Experts Vote Uninor As Indias Most Promising New OperatorUninor has been recognized as the Most Promising New Operator in the Telecom Operator Award 2010 organized by tele.net,a leading telecom magazine from India.

The selection was based on a survey conducted by the publication with over 160 industry experts and professionals where Uninor emerged as winner by a strong margin.

The recognition comes within months of Uninor’s service launch in 8 telecom circles in India. The company has already made a strong start to its operations, securing an average of 1 million subscribers per month.By the end of February, Uninor had secured over 3.5 million subscribers across its operational regions.

Accepting the award, Uninor’s Managing Director Stein-Erik Vellan said, “We are on our way; with a set of ideas, our way of doing business and most importantly, a philosophy that puts people first.Today’s recognition, by experts from our industry, encourages us to get there even faster.     Pay just Rs 95 per month and stay connected on the net anywhere

    Bangalore, April 26, 2010: Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, has launched Unlimited GPRS Browsing service for its prepaid customers in Karnataka. By paying just Rs 95 a month, customers can now browse the internet anytime, anywhere, on their mobile phone as many number of times at their own convenience. Customers can also avail of a 3 day unlimited GPRS offer at Rs 16.

    To activate Unlimited GPRS, prepaid customers need to simply do an e-top with Rs 95 or Rs 16 or sms ACT GPRS to 144 (toll-free). Customers can also call 121 (toll-free) from their Vodafone mobile phones for more details.

The advantages of GPRS are as wide as your imagination takes you. Once activated the connectivity allows you to stay in touch in more ways than one. With Unlimited GPRS, the world can be in your palms, just a click away.”

    Fair usage policy upto a maximum of 2GB/month on the Rs 95 recharge or 200 MB/3 days for the Rs 16 Recharge will apply, post which browsing will be charged at 10p/10kb. Other download charges as applicable.

    Aaj india me 3g ka auction hai aur bechara uninor 2g bhi nahi d pa raha hai. Uninor providing 1g ie only voice. Baba adam k jamane ka operator hai na. Bechara uninor:$.

    Uninor & Vodafone both European company and both dont have any GPRS plan for common people…. vodafone connect charges really costly & speed also not so good

    the subscriber base number are wrong because they are giving free sim with 100 rs talktime in tamilnadu. so many people buy minimum 5 sim using talktime throw it away. so this award was a wrong one.

    uninor has very limited service, maybe good for local use, not for traveling. also, they are not participating in the 3G auction, so no 3G in future and growth prospects restricted…

    Ajkal hazar survey hone lagey hai aur har koi paisa khila ke awards le leta hai.Uninor ko customer to mil nahi rahe,awards hi le lo yaar.
