Just be updated with Cricket no matter where you are with yahoo cricket alert service all you need to do for receiving the cricket scores, compose an SMS with ‘CRI’ as content and send it to 58243 and you will receive scores for all international cricket matches currently being played at that time.
To receive detailed cricket scores for a particular country, user has to compose an SMS with these contents “cri country” For instance, if you wanted to get detailed scores for the match being played by India, your screen would look like “CRI IND” and then you can refer to the table on the right for valid countries, with their 3 letter abbreviations.
Send the request to 58243. You will receive details about the match being played by the country selected.

yup, service is great but as currently its in beta stage, it shall have some bugs. In mumbai too, its not accessible from idea but working fine from airtel & vodafone.! hope it will available very soon on all networks across the country..

I’m also using google voice…… it’s amazing
but sometime it can’t recognize voice as the accent of a particular word differs….. as a hole it’s great and it’s also available in Kolkata, worked with bsnl but didn’t work with idea:(

Google offer it at regular message charge & NOT at very high cost like Rs 3/message. To get updates, just type CRI & send it to 09773300000. SMS charge just as per local SMS tariff. For other topics on Google SMS channels, type HELP & send it to 09773300000.
Also Google is testing Voice Channel Services. By using this service, you will get to know about latest scores, railwayflight- schedules, traffic updates & much more at ABSOLUTELY FREE of cost! Number you need to dial will be toll free. Service is currently under testing phase. Toll free channel number is 180041999999 & currently accessible only from few networks in Mumbai.
