    Really happy & worried…..

Why don’t these guys at BSNL management understand the importance of BROADBAND.

Still operating in same style as if it is 1980.

Bsnl broadband is always best comparing to other operator.
Bsnl has more and more combo, unlimited, speedy plans as your need.
Bsnl department’s door step service is very nice comparing to other operator.
If u r a government employee in any deparment (state or central) ,
Bsnl gives 20% discount in you total bill for broadband subscribers.
It is very nice opertunity to govt. Staff.
And also from rs.500 plan there is no rental for LL Telephone. But free calls are available.
Please visit bsnl.co.in:9080/opencms/bsnl/BSNL/services/broadband/new_BB_postpaid.html for bsnl broadband tariff.

Even in BSNL BB, you can’t login using your ID & Password on any other line than yours. As, after a week of activation your BB,the User id & password is locked with the port (provided from the exchange)of your No.BSNL BB is also equally secured.@ Suvajit

Suvajit : Alliance Broadband is the best ISP in my area. Once upon a time I was a user of BSNL BB… But alliance is now just awesome than any one else… Cheap package, great speed… But yes, UNRELIABLE like BSNL

Exactly Alliance Broadband just need to strengthen their service..baas

Exctly…. Then ALLIANCE will be the best… I think the security (for log in) is the best in Alliance… Alliance provides MAC BASED LOG IN SYSTEM… so if anybody knows my uid/pwd he/she can’t login with it… But for BSNL you can do it easily…

@ Suvajit Who said MAC Based login system is better and for BSNL you can use credentials with other modemsFirst of all for BSNL they use both MAC based and user name pass athentication. Technically it is called port binding after the first login from your system the port is bonded to your MAC Id of the device and Telephone Line . If you change modem or use the modem to another telephone line your system will not connect…However exchanges can set for No port binding mode if they desire.. Usually they will not do that …NB: We can simulate some one’s MAC id ///

Achu Alliance Mac Based system I think the best because Alliance Broadband never use modem for internet connectivity… It is simple plug & play system… Among all other plug & play system I think MAC BINDING is the based… Besides I forget to mention that Alliance uses local gateway… If anybody is within my area (some surroundings) he may be same gateway… So there is another protection… All over alliance is the best on its package…

I don’t know about the alliance, but I can be sure that BSNL wired line Broad Band is truly the best comparing cost, quality and speed and no other operator, as of now can beat BSNL in India, as I have practically seen other BB services.

  • mag September 12, 2012 11:06 am

TATA wimax broadband is just superb in my area ,there is hardly any downtime that i have experienced.got a downtime of only 2 hr in 6 months.though it is a bit expensive for rs 840 (including tax) for a speed of 400 kbps.
i get download of max 60 kbps and upload of max 40 kbps.have used pathetic reliance and expensive airtel though reliance plans were enexpensive with good speed ,i used get a huge downtime ,say 2 to 3 hrs a day and sumtimes even for a day or 2.

Breaking News: Airtel has introduced new 3G plan on Pan-India basis except Orrisa circle. The plan cost is Rs.123/124/125 in different circles and allows 3600 minutes of 3G usage with speed upto 7.2Mbps with 30 days validity.
You read it right. It gives 60 hours of 3G data usage.

3G tariff war is really heating up. In Haryana, we get consistent 6.4-7.2Mbps on Airtel using Idea network and in 3600 mins if one only downloads, he or she can use 160GB or atleast 150GB

In Haryana, the plan is available for Rs.124. To activate you can SMS 3G to 121 and then select from the list of plans or visit My account section on Airtel page and login to your account and then can activate.

I hope Idea will come up with such plan. Until then I will use this plan. Recharge my number tomorrow.

The equation changes if we consider wireless broadband also. Infact, mobile broadband is being viewed as game changer for many operators.

  • Subhransu September 11, 2012 9:40 am

This seems to show only cable modem based BB connections. Now with 3G available in most of the major cities, people are preferring to take 3G broadband in stead of cable. So this number does not signify the usage.

    & download speed 512kbps
it is not eazy to beleive but true..

  • Kishore September 10, 2012 10:20 pm

Airtel all the way for me…no one can get close to Airtel on service quality. Shade more expensive than others but well worth the cost as quality is signifificantly superior. At the end of the day, you want quality, you will have to pay!

nothing new BSNL is always the best in Broadband but worst in mobile services as far as AP is concerned

  • Sumit Baran Majumdar September 10, 2012 6:55 pm

I am using BSNL Broadband from 2006. No problem and good speed. Also I am using BSNL EVDO 750 Unlimited from last 10 months. Both are good. I love BSNL.

  • techfrick September 10, 2012 6:09 pm

Arul :@ techfrick Did you see Airtel & reliance bills. BSNL only offers high quality services with low cost as well as in rural areas.

reliance has all unlimited plans.. But airtel is a bit costly. Reliance broadband service is a high quality service, constant speed.. I am using it past 5 years

  • GYANI September 10, 2012 5:51 pm

    BSNL is best.

  • chaitanya September 10, 2012 5:32 pm

BSNL EVDO PREPAID 750/- UNLIMITED PLAN IS MOST AWESOME.

  • Harish September 10, 2012 4:51 pm

I am using reliance dsl since last 8 years. No problem whatsoever and good customer support.Good speed and all unlimited plans.

  • Tharun George September 10, 2012 3:44 pm

Where all 3G/4G broadband subscribers go?

  • Sarvesh September 10, 2012 3:42 pm

BSNL a shame on India! Poor QoS and high tariffs… MTNL is a lot better than BSNL. BSNL sucks! BSNL is useless and cor-upt!

  • Chinmoy September 10, 2012 3:27 pm

BSNL best hain mere liye . Cheap fast but unreliable . But who cares as long we get >95% uptime with less money . 100% uptime is a myth and none can provide that in the world . Even in cororate IPLC or ILL I have seen downtime . Hence BSNL ADSL rocks ! With upgradation happening in all Exchanges BSNL will very soon start VOIP service pan INDIA where SIP to SIP voice and video call would be around 5 to 10 paise per min . Also BSNL has best plan on EVDO , WiMax and 3G . I am sure with expansion on Fiber Network , the GPON will be reintroduced with competeive pricing like Beam .

Yes….i am using photon plus and its best than so called bsnl.poor service, poor speed,i am a victim of this.

  • techfrick September 10, 2012 12:03 pm

bsnl provides average quality broadband services.. Airtel & reliance have high quality services, less downtime, smooth browsing ,fine downloading speed.. But now a days most new users are using wirless usb modems for internet.. Hassle free, no wire,no cable disconnection. Just pay & use.. !
