Arjun Chandrashekar July 18, 2011 at 11:44 am
@Raghu
I Don’t Have any Idea About Uninor Coverage Expansion But Definitely Coverage Will Expand in 4/5 Years
Saurabh gupta July 18, 2011 at 11:36 am
in UP west it has excellet coverage and more then 85lakh subscribers in UP(both circles) exce
Raghu July 18, 2011 at 11:15 am
@Arjun Chandrashekar
yes coverage is worst but call clarity is clear even if we get one signal thats the important thing very less call drops. after they invest 6500 crores let us see how the network improves in all the states where Uninor is present.
rajiev July 18, 2011 at 7:24 am
airtel lead, idea lead vodafone again airtel lead next month idea lead!
Arjun Chandrashekar July 18, 2011 at 1:29 am
@Raghu
Well Uninor Has Overtook Aircel in MH. Eventhough Uninor Coverage is Worst, Service is Simply Superb
Raghu July 17, 2011 at 11:16 pm
@Amit.G
yes i heard that they overtook one of the competitior it may be Aircel in MH i suppose.then karnataka is not included i think
Amit.G July 17, 2011 at 5:42 pm
@Raghu
No buddy it is not mentioned but UP, AP, MH,WB are included in 8 circles as mr brekke has mentioned that up n ap are the big markets for uninor and in WB They have overtook one of the competitor and mh circle is also adding more customers
Raghu July 17, 2011 at 4:09 pm
@Amit.g
any idea as to which 8 circles they are as Uninor operates in 13 circles. does it include AP,TN,Karnataka in the 8 circles u mentioned?
Raghu July 17, 2011 at 4:00 pm
@Amit.G
thats great news. so we can expect some improvement in the network in the next 6 months or so after the SC order.
Amit.G July 17, 2011 at 2:54 pm
NEWS: UNINOR HAS WRITTEN LETTER TO DOT REQUESTING TO ALLOT ADDITIONAL 1.8Mhz SPECTRUM IN ITS EXISTING 8 CIRCLES AS IT HAS CROSSED THE REQUIRED CRITERIA. NOW SUPREME COURT HAS ORDERED TELENOR TO GO AHEAD WITH RIGHTS ISSUE. SO NOW UNINOR WILL INVEST 6500 CRORES IN NETWORK EXPANSION.
selvam July 17, 2011 at 1:27 pm
@Ajay i accept ..but this only restricting the fake &dummy activations in BSNL..SECURITY which is the need of hour in INDIA..
Ajay July 17, 2011 at 10:15 am
Its my personal view…
Ajay July 17, 2011 at 10:13 am
Everywhere one can buy airtel and vodafone sims in any corner of the city or street or village. But to get bsnl sims one has to go to distributers or telemart. Which is one or two per circle… This is the reason why bsnl is lagging behind.
Husain July 17, 2011 at 8:20 am
Don’t know about the June 2011 but in the month of May, Reliance Mobile added 2.5 million subscribers and was leading among all. So I guess in the month of June also it would have added the maximum but there datas are released later as its dual technology service provider i.e. CDMA & GSM. Same with Tata, they also release this datas later may be only for this reason.
selvam July 16, 2011 at 10:05 pm
@tejas ya after this month there will be some consistant figures …bcoz the persons had sour experience with new operator after MNP will turn around and 2G effect will be there …since the case is in full swing..even there is some pressure on the distributors of the cos to create fake activations which will be reduced since the margins and schemes were reduced..let us see..atlast the genuine operator will b identified by the consumers in long run ..
Shashank July 16, 2011 at 3:07 pm
Yeah, even i would love to know this, what is the subcriber base of TATA DOCOMO and Reliance GSM, if TelecomTalk could find this out… tab toh manana padega ap logo ko
… Plz find it out!
tejas July 16, 2011 at 2:44 pm
it seems as if the mad rush for new connections has gone down…as there are no new offers being given by the operators…it seems to be settling down. also mnp is playing its role, no need to buy new sims just switch over with the same no. airtel and vodafone are very consistent in terms of growth and revenue. the rest are fighting for survival. even idea isnt consistent.
Saurabh gupta July 16, 2011 at 1:40 pm
Telecomtalk is there any way to know the addition and subscriber base of RGSM and TATA DOCOMO
