Idea announced specially tailored tariff plan for Orissa with All local Idea calls at 25p, other local calls at 50p & STD at Re 1 for 6 months from the date of activation (for all activations on or before 30th April 2009) Additionally, Get Unlimited Idea to Idea free for 30 days from date of activation.

The company will launch its EDGE enabled network in the state and will cover over 360 towns and villages in Orissa by next month. This will be extended to cover 2,200 towns and villages by March 2010.Orissa, with a tele density of 20.3 per cent, as compared to the national average of over 35 per cent, has been identified as a key growth market.
The company will introduce a range of affordable and innovative mobile telephony products and services for over 39 million people in the state.As part of the inaugural offer, the company will introduce multiple tariff plans ranging from competitive special tariff vouchers, to variable talk time and validity offerings, based on the consumption and usage patterns of customers.

Hope they come clean and dsn’t follow the footsteps of AIRCEL in kolkata they would be no where then might rue that it was a wrong IDEA in Kolkata, since it is really a price sensitive market, and it is to be seen how Vodafone shares their network…………….

Yeah it was true in the past about GSM Smart from Reliance.Now they have come a long way and made their network congestion free with 0 call drop…atleast thats what people say.But reality is reality after all.Lets see how Idea cope up in Calcutta and Bengal Telecom circle when they roll out their service which is already shared by quality operators like BSNL,Aircel,Airtel,Voadfone etc
