Idea Cellular,today announced the launch of a Toll Free Number 1800-270-0000 to guide over 700 million mobile subscribers on various aspects and procedures of number portability, prior to the national launch of the service on January 20th, 2011.
With this, Idea continues to lead the industry in MNP communication through a series of new advertisements.Idea is now promoting the Toll Free Number and the Date of MNP launch in the series of new ads.
The earlier ads, the first such campaign on MNP in India, showed Idea proposing the idea to unhappy mobile consumers to switch to a network that offers better services, better products & tariffs, and better network, through the message – ‘No Idea, Get Idea’.
Mobile users across all 22 circles can call up the Toll Free Number 1800-270-0000 and register their requests for porting on the Idea network.
Idea has also launched a microsite www.getidea.co.in – an information portal for MNP for online users.

Thank GOD…. For a long time, I was being cheated by Idea.Because of this fucking provider,I lost a lot f money in useless way.Their Customer care service is most worst than anything.Now I got chance to switch to DOCOMO.Thanks to TRAI……..

In MNP you can change the operator within your circle.. So if you have Maharashtra circle BSNL Sim then you can change to other operator of Maharashtra circle only…
You can’t opt Mumbai circle operator..

earlier spice telecom was their,it was far better than this fucking idea,these guys charge 5rs for delivery report..what this idea is special or what when other operators give this service freely,and also it takes more than 15sec to send one msg…they are surely going to be big failure in karnataka,all are seeing to get changed to aircel & docomo because they are most loyal and offers good tariff….i mean cheap tariff when compared to others…you guys going to see….after this month…then for contacting idea customer care we have to wait for more than 10min…its very cunning of them..

In Kolkata circle Idea’s network is not that strong as in other states of India. Here in coverage basis Airtel is the best operator, in network basis Vodafone is the best, in offer basis Aircel is the best followed by Tata Docomo.
Among CDMA operators in offer basis:
1. MTS
2. Tata Indicom
3. Reliance Mobile (CDMA Service)
In network basis:
1. Reliance Mobile (CDMA Service)
2. Tata Indicom
3. MTS
So in Kolkata circle after MNP peoples’ choice goes like this:
If you stay in Kolkata circle and don’t travel much and Network is the main issue,offer is not an issue then its better to switch to Vodafone.
If you stay in Kolkata and travel outside a lot and Network is the main issue and offer is not an issue then its better to go for Airtel followed by BSNL (2G is preferable because 3g Coverage is not up to the mark in many suburbs)
If you most of the time stay in kolkata circle and look for offer only, network is not an issue then Aircel is preferable, followed by Idea Cellular.
If you most of the time travel outside and look for offer and network is not an issue to you then Tata Docomo is best for you.

Every operator is talking about MNP and giving offers but nothing from Loop Mobile. No offer, no information about MNP from Loop Mobile. I think Loop Mobile is sleeping. Just two days left for MNP.

They have launched it officially but its not available in Allahabad yet. They are providing handset bundle RUIM only till now and that too in Varanasi not in Allahabad. I contacted with them but there is no any office in Allahabad yet. It seems they have launched it just to save themselves.
