IDEA Cellular Recognized as the Most Customer Responsive Company

IDEA Cellular has been recognized as the ‘Most Customer Responsive Company’ in the Telecom sector, at the prestigious Avaya GlobalConnect Customer Responsiveness Awards 2010 for commitment to offer superior customer service and its constant endeavour to enhance customer services.

The Avaya Global Customer Responsiveness Award was conferred upon IDEA Cellular in recognition of its various new and innovative customer service and delivery initiatives in the telephony services space. Idea was chosen as the winner of the prestigious award after an extensive quality audit of the organisation’s systems and processes, leaving behind many other strong contenders in the telecom category.

IDEA Cellular was amongst the 11 distinguished winners, who were selected from a list of 124 nominees, in various categories for the Avaya GlobalConnect Customer Responsiveness Awards, this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Navanit Narayan , Chief Service Delivery Officer, IDEA Cellular Ltd said, “This award is a recognition of our commitment to institutionalizing the highest standards of Customer Relationship Management processes. The prestigious Avaya GlobalConnect Customer Responsiveness Awards, now in its sixth year, has raised the bar for customer delight, and inspired organizations to lift the user experience to new levels. The award was instituted by Avaya GlobalConnect, and was introduced for the first time in India in collaboration with The Economic Times.

The award recognizes efforts of orgnanisations, who – in an environment where the user has become more discerning, demanding and, even fickle – have invested time, energy and money into making their Customer Responsiveness initiatives quantifiable and workable.

    IDEA Kolkata changes its unlimited RS 249 plan
    now its Unlimited I2I free for 30 days(upto 100 mins max per day)
    only AIRCEL has Rs 249 unlimited plan with no limit

    I doubt the credibility of Avaya GlobalConnect. Anyways, in a way Idea Cellular Limited is quite customer responsive taking into consideration they make it a point to ask customers to recharge their account first if customers call to complain about poor network connectivity. There is obviously no connection between the two yet Idea takes that response! [:P]

    I think these recognitions come from A.Raja the great NO- Idea minister of India who is making private operators gain more power than BSNL and is responsible for Disaster in Mobile and Broadband sector

    When private operators gain more power than BSNL surely costumers gonna robbed by these companies

    bcoz they r waiting for mnp. jab customer hi nahi rahegein to scheme kyun nikalngein.pata nahi kis neend mein soya hai, kya kumbhkaran ko challange kar raha hai.

    How can u say tat its a good company??? its the most worst company of karnataka who changes tarrifs without notice & network atleast Lowest among all… First thing is they have cheated thousands of ppl with ter crap idea netsetter saying tat it gives 236kbps( which don even cross 80kbps). Its a big cheater company, Other operators charge only 15rs if we change caller tune song But this operator charges 15+3=18rs, to activate internet/gprs others say Aircel/Airtel charge 14/19rs for 3 days but this greedy dog charges 24+3 for activation +3 for deactivation=30rs but it ll mention as 24rs/day. They charge 3rs for each & everything.

    idea giving various scheme & offers only to those circle where they are newly launched… Best example is Mumbai circle for them 1ps/sec, 40ps/min, 30ps/min and idea to idea at 1ps/5sec are available but not available for Maharashtra circle. Also Mumbai customer carry home nw tariffs while roaming in maharashtra like 1ps/sec or 50ps/min scheme but Maharashtra Idea user roaming in Mumbai has to pay roaming charge of rs.1 for local & rs.1.5 for std calls. In maharashtra they are present more than 10yrs firstly in form AT&T then birla-tata combined now idea . So they are thinking we are top here nobody will leave but after MNP mostly Idea user will go to Bsnl, Airtel, Tata,Reliance for better plans.

    I am a Idea customer from Goa. But you know what they are the ‘Kanjoos’ operator in this circle, with offers which are not attractive like other operators around the country.
    They just drain money and more money from the pockets of customers in maharashtra-goa circle.

    Idea provides better plans in j&k atleast, onnet calling pack 199/monthly pack free calling..98 gprs pack.unlimited mobile b/d for 30 days applicable on both pre and postpaid also..

    First of all…what is the methodology they follow to do this…I am in telecom sector and have never heard of the same…what is the ranking of other telecom companies….Do not waste time…wait for Telecom Survey that is published by Voice & Data.

    I WONDER,how IDEACELLULAR get this AWARD.I am a user of its services since 2006,but there are no incredible schemes rather in prepaid or postpaid.For 3 years i used the prepaid,but last year i switched to postpaid with the same number.But there are no good plans either.Very high rates for STD.The plan i am using gives Rs.1.5/min,and if i add a tariff of Rs.40 monthly,then i get Re.1 STD for 1 month.

    There is no facility that i can take all the tarriffs i want.

    Customer Care is also of no use.All the executives tell different stories for the same package.You don’t believe on Customer Care that they are giving you the right information.

    I am not able to switch to some other network,as i don’t want to change my number.

    In my view IDEACELLULAR is a CRAB.

    How can anyone recognise best or worse without knowing customer’s response? UP East me Idea ke customer care par call karo pata chal jayega ki Idea is the worse company regarding customer care.

    No responsive company at all as per my views.. Here in Maharashtra& Goa circle they are in top as per subscriber base but very expensive in term of schemes… So many times requested to reduce their call rates, introduce some GPRS pack with 30 days validity but nothing goes on their deaf ear….

    Still they are charging 1.2ps/sec for calls and even if we go with per minute plan then also very expensive .50ps/min for local & std call & also for sms but from second minute that means daily rs.1 for first local call & Rs.1.5/min for an std call for first min.. so Rs.30 monthly rental for local & Rs.45 monthly rental for Std calls,. So total rs.75 monthly rental to enjoy all @ 50ps/min here in Maharashtra circle

    Gprs also Rs.25 per day for unlimited that means rs.750 per month

    So all crap plans here in Maharashtra circle for prepaid user…
