Aditya Birla-promoted Idea Cellular, latest entrant in Kolkata GSM mobile market has launched its wireless data card services in Kolkata circle. The plug-n-play Idea Net Setter Wireless Internet Device will deliver connection speed upto 236.8Kbps on Idea’s EDGE-enabled network. In Kolkata, 2G GSM Data Card Services are also offered by leading GSM Mobile service operator Airtel, BSNL & Vodafone Essar.
Idea Net Setter is priced at Rs 1999, as an introductory offer to Kolkata circle. You have to make a first recharge of Rs 500 at time of purchase to get 30 days unlimited data usage.The operator also introduces 3 preapid recharge of Rs.501, Rs.275 and Rs.50.

But except BSNL they don’t offer unlimited services. In that view Idea Net setter is affordable and economical option to most users.

hey guys pls dont buy idea netsetter, its all fraud. i own idea net setter, it was launched 1 year back in karnataka, here also tey mentioned speed of 236.8kbps trust me its service is very very worst, u ll get a speed of just 4-6 kbps(even though ur within 200meters of tower area) tats it… in spite of repeated complaints t speed is same…. pls dont buy ltr u ll suffer..

They should offer unlimited for 250 without roaming and 350 with roaming…
Bt still bsnl rocks…
I am using both bsnl and airtel …both offer similar speeds at day bt bsnl vampire leads at night…
Even tata photon+ cant be compard with bsnl wimax evdo…so guys better to use bsnl than this bull**it…

Fuck idea after fooling people in south now they are going to kolkata. Are yaar who needs a Kbps connection for 500 with initial cost of 1900, if you have a decent mobile can get better speed on TATA DOCOMO

I m using BSNL usb data card. I got 15-25 kbps download speed. It’s very good for internet surfing. Also just Rs.200/- per month.

IDEA cant be comnpared with BSNL…BSNL is always best as it is the father of all service providers,,,,The speed is excellent even you use a normal data card if you go for 3g you will get speed of light…
BSNL has already comne with very affordable packs and subscriptions so dont waste ur time n money with altu faltu providers,,,, BSNL is great…

Better to use bsnl evdo..
If any1 really wants unlimitd intrnet wid good speed he/she needs to shell out rs 149 more than ths rs 501 to get unlimited data with high speed internet…
501/month is too costly for unlimited data plan over edge netwrk..
They shud hav introdauce 350plan for unlimited data usage for a month whch at present only bsnl is offering and whch is quite affrdable not this one…
