IDEA Cellular, the leading mobile service operator is emerging as the No. 1 operator of choice for mobile subscribers in terms of Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
As per the latest data available, IDEA Cellular leads with a huge margin, adding 1,993,684 new customers through MNP, resulting in a net gain of 859,798 in as on July 7th, 2011.
IDEA retains No. 1 position with further improving net gain lead of 99,888 subscribers over Vodafone Essar and 189,861 over Airtel.

Aitel is the number one in Andhra pradesh. providing best network in A.P,Karnataka,U.P, Rajasthan, delhi, punjab… but poor services in Maharastra, M.P, Gujarat and Bihar

I think Aircel is the best provider for Punjab circle and Pan India roaming as well. I travelled to the South a couple of days back and got full coverage everwhere I went. On the other hand my brothers TD connection was dead most of the way. Plus even in areas with poor signals, the voice quality was still as good, no phasing in and out or any voice cuts in between. I understand that Aircel is using TD network in Punjab but have to say, their services are much better than TD. Also they gave me 100 free SMS as a reward for staying with them 90 days post port from BSNL.

Today almost all telecom operators have outsourced tier call centres to some other companies, these companies in order to save tier costs hire people who are not skilled enough and dont understand any value of customer since tier background itself will be like that, This is the reason why customer care executives behave improperly.

idea in karnata is giving good network at cheaper call rates.. plus they have good mix and match options.. half paise at rs 81…10 ps at rs 82…for 90 days..that is why airtel customers are shifting to idea here…

Very much poor indoor coverage of idea in greater Kolkata (suburban area) and West Bengal circles. I am using Idea since December’2009 and complained in call center and to the nodal officer at least for 15 times but no development of network. I think they are not concerned with the problems of their valuable customers like me. That’s why I have taken the final decision to leave idea and move to Uninor through MNP….Good bye IDEA….

i am anas from kerala. i ported my aircel number to idea due less coverage. but after 1 week, i feel idea is very very bad than aircel because they have daily limit 69MB with 1month free gprs plan, high tarif, no way to know the gprs free data balance etc. but in aircel, unlimited pocket internet gprs plan, half paisa per sec tarif by doing Rs.11 recharge for 30 days. surely i will return to aircel after 90 days. i am waiting for 91th day…

It is best to port in to BSNL,now a days BSNL has improved its network quality,internet speed is too good,no balance deduction problem,and no such high tariff voucher,they reduced their call rates.

Idea Cellular, the most favored telecom service provider during MNP regime, has launched a new Special Tariff Voucher for its customers in Mumbai Telecom Circle.
Now Idea prepaid customers in Mumbai can make all STD calls at just 35p per minute on recharge of STV 21 that offer no talk time and comes with a validity for 30 days.

Beware buddies, once you port in to Idea it is very difficult to port out. One of my friend wanted to port out of Idea to BSNL. Even after sending the port out request thrice, they weren’t letting him go. He had to call the Nodal office and had to fight with the rude executives before he finally was ported out of Idea. In Karnataka Idea started its campaign of port in with the offer of 30 paise/minute call to any network, but even after 3 months of activation the rate continued to be 40 paise/minute. So think twice before porting to Idea.

WOW Docomo has improved!! thats nice buddy. Here atleast docomo is very good both interms of coverage and quality. Uninor service is falling day by day. Now the maximum speed we get is 80kbps and network becomes busy during evening hours

Idea cellular though it is the No.2 Operator in AP has lot of problems with network it is not available in AP Like Airtel do.but Airtel has lot of congestion problems in network but now a days TD Has improved a lot in AP.Uninor is slowly improving.

Yes idea cellular is really fantastic. Many people are opting idea cellular. Idea made a drastic improvement in 1 year. Before it was dumped by many users when docomo launched its services but now its a most prefered operator. Im happy wit idea but only one prob, port in subscribers are facing lot of problem in activating 3G. When we message ACT3G To 12345 a error message comes saying wrong keyword. This is happening only wit portin customers.
