With this launch of 3G services,IDEA subscribers now can enjoy rich multimedia application such as Video conferencing, Idea mall application store, Mobile TV,Video on demand and High speed Mobile Broadband with ease.
Idea 3G users will experience speed upto 21 Mbps on 3G handsets, and higher speed on other devices depending on the device capability.Idea has introduced Time based Billing plan for 3G services enabling users to avail high-end data services without worrying about the volume of usage.
To promote usage, Idea has introduced ‘sachet’ pricing offering attractive trial packages with per day billing.Idea Cellular holds 3G spectrum for 10 telecom circles – Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat, Andra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh & Chattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, UP (East) UP (West), Punjab, Haryana and Kerala.
The operator also announced that IDEA 3G services will be available in 200 towns of 11 3G circles by mid April, progressively growing at the rate of ten towns per day to cover 750 towns by mid 2011 and 4000 town by the end of 2012.

Idea, Airtel & Vodafone will launch 3G across the whole country except Orissa, because none of them have obtained licence for Orissa.
Through their Indus tower they will share their 3G network with each other.

We have able to use DATA docomo 3G service in UP E (by Using Aircel 3G network)
example 2- Idea 3G User able to acess 3G service’s in all india..(by roming)
example 3= Airel 3G can be used by using Vodafone 3G network
we can use all 3g in all states..by roming partner system .wait for some time for it..

If you see the Idea 3G plan.
You can see the video call rates for Gujrat. i.e. 3Rs/min.
So I think same will be applicable for Mumbai.
So, still MTNL/BSNL will be the best video calling solution.

Vodafone started their 3G service in mumbai/Navi Mumbai. They charge Rs. 3/-min for video call. Will there any takers on the video call front ? MTNL/BSNL seem still is best sab keliye…. !dea too will launch soon, but any idea about their video call rate…?

I want to know that
1) if we are using 3G network but someplace where 3G service is not lunch yet then what will happen with our network means we are still in 3G or 2G or no network.
2)another thing is that we saw that all operator did not get pan india licence for 3G spectrum, can they launch their services in that area where they did not get the spectrum or what?

Idea has recently learned a lots of lessons from other providers, in terms of voice tariff and data tariff, but on postpaid if one subscribes for 2 GB internet the unbilled anout is charged as base tariff Rs.10/- per MB which is the costliest ofcourse and the credit limit is increased only upto 8000 that means one can use only 512 MB even if the customer is subscribed for 2 GB that is very bad and a big flaw in idea billing system. Out going is barred when one uses 512 MB so idea need to check their billing system.

Today i spoke to one of the Idea Customer care associate in Bihar-Jharkhand Circle regarding 3G as i have got a 3G msg from Idea Celluler on my idea connection, that – “3G services will soon launch in your city” as i’m from jamshedpur, jharkhand.. He said that,, the msg which i’ve got,, its correct,,3G will soon launch to be Bihar-Jharkhand circle… I really amazed,,How doest it possible?? As per my knowladge,,Idea didnt buy 3G Stake for this Circle from TRAI.
