Do or die situation in j&k guys lead by vodafone…wat will happen here God knws better but in present what is happening is vodafone changed the whole scenario here letting othr operators with no option…..tht day is nt far when airtel will come out with unlimited calng here coz vodafone has left no option 4 airtel…aircel has died here many mnths ago but it is last breath whch makes aircel to cntinue its services in market..rliance died on tht day wen it enterd the market…it is gvng unlimtd calng but without netwrk…tata cnt say abt it as it is betr thn airtel…vodafone is doing the bang bang here…continue ur job vodafone gr8 going
Turkee November 6, 2009 at 9:46 am
@Idrees Very rightly said, but pay per second tariff is common all India. Its just the extra nominal packages which is acting as a differentiator. There is no competition even neither any different markey scenario. Just the switch over from pre to post happening….
Idrees November 6, 2009 at 9:28 am
@Turkee ,man it is totaly different scenerio in j&k compared to the rest,to launch these ofrs depends on ur sorrounding market compt,these operators r left with no other option particularly when they r on a stake to lose their customers.
Turkee November 6, 2009 at 9:10 am
These Plan are Phuddu. Check out Post Plans plans of Vodafone in J & K launched yesterday. Its different from all India.
RDB November 6, 2009 at 6:31 am
haha ! airtel n Vodafone in kolkata same2same !
IDEA sucks here in a big way! though netwrk is more or less better, still as using 1800 Mhz spectrum, which has better data carriage but travels less , indoor signal is poor !
GPRS 2p/kB, compared to Airtel 30p/50kB, Vodafone 10p/10kB, TDoCoMo 1p/kB !!!
on prepaid, no SMS voucher no onnet weekend/night/lower calling STV !
I am moving to my MTS & Airtel !

Wat a crap plan….vodafone gvs much better plans than ths …
Debopratim Roy November 5, 2009 at 11:53 pm
@Anuj
In advanced states like Maharashtra,delhi,gujrat,andhra pradesh,himachal pradesh,mp & chattishgarh things are better even in telecom…An in absolutely backward states like westbengal,manipur,meghalaya the service of airtel is not above bench mark..Vodafone in calcutta circle is far superior compared to airtel whose tail is down during bad weather..Vodafone’s network is better than airtels with lots of kudos..Idea cellular’s post-paid plans are not very bad from this article…..Its the end of road for Airtel in calcutta as they are now legion of doom!!
AnujB November 5, 2009 at 11:47 pm
@Anuj
u r correct in saying this…my guess is that they are the best because of the sole reason that postpaid business require specific investments into billing, collection, dedicated call center, recovery, bad debt risks etc….not a good idea if you r in this business to make a quick buck and earn subscriber figures for more spectrum!!!
Anuj November 5, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Airtel(and vodafone also) always have edge over other operators in postpaid segment. I have used Idea postpaid but service wasn’t upto mark. Airtel postpaid is superb in terms of service support. Postpaid segment always need time to time support & users expect top notch service. Airtel’s billing/activation deactivation of add ons’/VAS is very quick with almost no errors. Postpaid customer care department is simply great. Any kind of help is always assured. Don’t know about other circles, haven’t used it outside rest of M&G & Mumbai circles. Vodafone postpaid is simply superb in Mumbai. I have used it there for 2 years.
Agnivo November 5, 2009 at 9:21 pm
BTW, plan 349 looks good, but airtel freedom 349 scores over it.
Agnivo November 5, 2009 at 9:20 pm
I was eagerly waiting for !dea Kolkata postpaid plans. But their introductory plans aren’t as I was expecting. Currently have an Airtel postpaid. Let’s hope they bring new ones soon.
Anuj November 5, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Same type of plans here in Maharashtra. As prepaid tariffs are going lower & lower, postpaid tariffs are still too much expensive & not at all good for common man. If you are being offered corporate portraid plans, then only go for it. Otherwise prepaid is way better.
