As the 3G launch is gaining heat the GPRS feast has come alive. Now IDEA has come up with a unique scheme for its pre-paid customers.
A special recharge of Rs. 98 enables the user access to 2GB of free surfing every month. This offer is valid only for pre-paid customers and can be activated by a unique GPRS recharge.
However the 2 gb data cannot be consumed in a single day and the daily limit is 70 mb.While the 2gb data limit converts to roughly 200 hours of surfing on the GPRS enabled phone, Rs. 5 per MB will be charged for usage exceeding the 70 MB in a day.
Now just don’t call on your Idea mobile but do more wit just Rs.98 per month. What an Idea sirjee!

dude here is data meter in mobiles form there you can come to know the Internet usage -if you are using it only on computer then you can download a software form http://www.bandwidth-meter.net to track the usage .

idea launched 3 day data packages in kerala… 200 mb free data usage for 3 days at 15rs… they r providing providing pretty good speed at kerala about 20-30kB/s

Sure!! truely speaking 3G is good only for data services.. i used video calling services for more than a month but got bugged up with it.. most of the time image will break & if we speak now it ll hear to them after 2seconds. Apart from tat battery gets drained up very fast..major problem is signal wont cme properly inside buildings, tower is just 500mtrs far from my place but 3G signal won cme isnide if i go near window it will cme full.. but who wants to stand near window & speak

Karnataka will be barred from Vodafone 3G services till govt. allows them to purchase license. Till that time use one of the available operators…

It will not be 499, that’s for postpaid. Prepaid will be in range of 95 to 99 only.

This pack was already available in Mumbai. They have another pack for one day as well for Rs. 8 with 70 MB per day. Hope that will also be launched soon in MAh & Gao..

in my city AIRTEL IDEA BOTH HAVE WORSE GPRS SPEED,
EVEN RELIANCE DOCOMO HAVE BETTER SPEED THEN THESE SO CALLED LEADING SERVICE PROVIDER

Not a good plan. I think they have launched this plan so that nobody blames them that they have no good GPRS pack in Maharashtra where they are the leading operator as compared to there rivals. Similar is the case with Vodafone who do not give GPRS connectivity on PC. Others like Airtel (2 GB, no daily limit), Aircel (unlimited at Rs.98/-) and Docomo (6 GB, Rs.98, to be launched soon) are more affordable. The speed depends on the distance of tower from your place. I have super speeds of 25-30 KB per second in both Aircel and Docomo.

Copy of Airtel Maharashtra, same price, same monthly limit however there is no daily cap in Airtel. I can use however and whenever in month. 70 MB daily cap is a shame, if one has to download mobile movies (generally of 200 MB), one can’t do in one day and mostly rusume download doesn’t work on WAP sited, so its almost impossible.. Bad Idea.

Ab tak ki sabse ghatiya offer idea dwara….. ek din me sirf 70Mb data. aur uske baat to public ki waat lagane wale yeh log..Sirji Yeh idea nahi chalega “What idea !” ke badle “Ghatiya idea ” bolna behtar hoga..
Lagta hai plan launch karne se pahle idea ne TATA Docomo , aircel aur airtel ke kam damwale 2 GB se 3 GB tak ke plan ko study nahi kiya…Meri rai me to yeh koi sahi aur attractive plan nahi huva…

As far as my usage and the speed is considered I would be happy with the pack.Idea has a great Speed my usage wont go beyond 10 mb per day .But I use a Postpaid connection I may need to check if they have same idea in POSTPAID.

Idea launched it yesterday itself & Idea in its website has updated its new gprs packs for Maharashtra circle but till now it has not updated karnataka Gprs packs wher Gprs pack for karnataka has launched 2 days befor MH circle.. This only shows tat Idea is least bothered abt karnataka circle, they are just providing services for name sake, no new towers are installed in cities..only covering villages like a mad bull without proper network in cities.
