Huawei to finally give a taste of Lollipop to the Honor 4C, Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus, and Honor 4X

Huawei has finally announced Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Honor series of smartphones in India, starting from September. The company has revealed that it will be rolling out the update for select Honor smartphones.

Initially the roll out will be processed to the Huawei Honor 4C, Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus in September, while the Honor 4X will receive the update in October. All the aforementioned devices will get the update as Emotion UI 3.1, which is based upon Android 5.0 Lollipop. Here are the update rollout timelines that are revealed by Huawei:

  • Huawei Honor 4C on September 21st
  • Huawei Honor 6 on September 25th
  • Huawei Honor 6 Plus on September 29th
  • Huawei Honor 4X on October 20th

Lollipop update for Huawei Honor samrtphones

The update will bring the material design to the Honor UI, coupled with plethora of colors, smooth notification bar, improved network and security, easy sharing, and many more new features. Although Huawei is rolling out the update to most of the Honor series of smartphones, but it has still not revealed any information regarding Lollipop update for its affordable Honor 3C and Honor Holly smartphones.
