HRITHIK ROSHAN TO ENDORSE RELIANCE GSM

reliance-gsm-hritik-adRCOM is ready to launch new advertising campaign for its nation-wide GSM services to attract the youngsters and is believed to be on the verge of signing Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan as its brand ambassador. The Bollywood hunk, the brand new face of the Reliance mobile network, urges fans and subscribers of the service provider to never leave anything unsaid or undone… “Just pick up the phone, don’t wait… go for it!” is what Hrithik’s quotes in the new commercial.

According to sources, Reliance Communications is planning a Rs 150-crore media campaign for its GSM services featuring its new brand ambassador, Hrithik Roshan. Sources said the company is in the final stages of signing an endorsement deal with Hrithik, who would be the official face for the company’s mobile and telecom businesses. The new campaign is expected to be on air in the first week of June.

This is Reliance Communications’ first advertising campaign for its GSM service, which was launched on commercial basis in January 2009 and has since then added over 13 million subscribers. The company is targeting 100 million subscriber base (GSM and CDMA) by the end of this fiscal.

The celebrity brand endorsement business in India is pegged at about Rs 1,000 crore, including star appearances and events. Last year, cricketer M S Dhoni, Shah Rukh and Dipika Padukone were among the top celebrities endorsing maximum telecom service.

people can get best service provider. and telecom service provider can also find their faults and they will improve their services an
unknown person can get help by sharing their problem

Hritik may endorse R-GSM , ppl wll nt goin to take R-GSM connection for enjyinh his charisma on a poor ntwrk !! R-cdma is bttr but Anil ambani came as a biggest thief, VAS deactivation is jst not possble by customers, Care is alwz busy !

@ Deepak can u tell me the date when reliance launched Rs. 500 phone?
if you are going three or four years back you can say and everyone feel reliance as a awesome service provider and their best offers! but after cutting reliance cake reliance infocom segment fall in AnilAmbanees lap and till the time reliance customers are facing daylight robbery
i was also a reliance fan in the time of MukeshAmbani but when i saw that Anil Ambani is started looting i thrown my connection

last year reliance gifted free postpaid mobile hansets to college students in mumbai and sent them around approximatly Rs.1500 bill and snatched students
and handset cost was not more tha 200 Rupees so you think about reliance folks how much they go down for earning money

@Duane, Why u hides or not mention the Sharukh Khan ad campaign of Airtel?? you mention MS Dhoni(Aircel) and Dipika(BSNL) but forget the SRK(airtel)! Why?
The Celeb adverstisement started by Airtel and u dint want to talk on that!
It seems that you want to say that if Airtel did that is good and if other do that is wrong!! :!:
If you really think that its vest of mony to sign the celeb for ad campaign, im agree on that its really good thing to use that money on Network and as all other operator Airtel also need to do the same in Mumbai and Maharshtra, where it is most congested network,
But don’t use the double standard on this. You also write the ad of common man by Airtel in your comment, but you know Airtel still charging Rs.1.50 for SMS while in Roaming hence they has all India pan network! Its not in the interest of common Man!, The state operator charging very less from airtel !
The Roaming call charges are same in all operators so nothing special with airtel, airtel also take the same, not less for common man!

well said Duane i think government should ban these type of celeb advertise in companeis should use this money to improve their quality of services and lower rates it will attract a customer more than a celebrety ad.
but reliance is thinking to fool people only If Hritik roshan shows reliance as india’s no.1 network but people is experiencing the network they cant make a call if they are in the lower seagment
    in their home
so people know the celebreties and advertisers want only money and celebrety is fooling their fans and earning money

I feel that TELECOM COMPANIES should stay away from roping in SUPERSTAR CELEBS such as M S DHONI (Aircel), DIPIKA PADUKONE (BSNL) etc.. customers are not fools to purchase a telecom service on the basis of what the cine stars have to say…

Instead Telecom companies should use the same money to ENHANCE THEIR NETWORK COVERAGE, or introduce INNOVATIVE VALUE ADDED SERVICES or simply BRING DOWN TARIFFS to say 10p (Local) or 25p (STD) … in keeping with A RAJA’s comments [read following post]

    Should the Telecom companies *still* feel they need a CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENT they should use a “COMMON MAN” superstar to bran their products & services – just as AIRTEL has done with the MADHAVAN – VIDYA BALAN combination in the various commercials;
    - Roaming @ Re 1 (incoming)/local outgoing)
    - STD @ RS 1.50
    - MCHECK to pay Bills while on a Train Journey
    - Easy to activate/deactivate VAS – send START/STOP to 121
