    Nice handset to give to workers for FREE.. Even if you are going to buy 10 handsets, it will be cheaper than a decent Nokia cam phone…

    Hmm, I thought about it too… let’s see.

    BTW, guess BSNL would again rebrand and offer this phone with a free SIM for Rs.400 to gain some customers…

    Not all handsets are bad of rcom & tata. A few models are good. You are “LUCKY” that you choose good one. But most of people are not lucky.

    @Vinayak Pai
    Yea some brands/models/series are lucky enough and are really performers… but but but… not all are lucky enough to keep it working for more than 6 months (either the color fades out, screen cracks, keypad fails and what not). Remember, people using budget phones mishandle more than premium phone users… but they are bulk manufactured. Once I heard from a RIM official, they bulk import cheap entry level handsets from zte, etc (you get it) @ Rs.150/pc.

    I am sorry i forgot to mention that i am using a LG RD2650 phone from 2006 and have absolutely no problems to date. :)

    Dont compare these phones to the entry level handsets offered by RCOM and Tata especially the likes of LG etc. I am using my RCDMA from June, 2006 without absoultely no problems. I am extremely happy with the value for money offered by RCOM especially. Regarding these rebranded stuffs, they have one or the other defect. Like the micromax high power battery CDMA phone has a very low ear piece volume etc. There is no value for money in these products and cannot be compared to the branded stuff like LG, Nokia etc….

    Seems good, but rebranded chinese crap (like entry level bundled handsets from rcom, tata)… but nice move for people with smaller pockets and also as backup phone.
