Exclusive : BSNL to Hike Broadband Modem Rentals from 1 April (Basic and WiFi)

India’s largest state-owned Broadband service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has decided to increase the Monthly Rental Charges for Broadband Modem (basic and WiFi) from 1 April across the country.

According to our exclusive source, The fixed monthly charge for ADSL Broadband Modem (When Modem is taken on Rental Basis from BSNL) will be increased by Rs.20 to Rs.30 (basic and WiFi - ADSL / VDSL) for all new subscribers and Rs.45 to Rs.85 for all existing (more than 24 months old) customers in any tariff plans.

Revised Monthly Rental Charges for modem (When Modem is taken on Rental Basis) to Existing as well as New BSNL Broadband Customers (w.e.f. 1st April, 2014) as follows :
