Nokia India Announced Nokia 6700 and 7230, Mid Budget 3G phonesNokia the worlds leading mobile phone giant today announced the launch of Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia 7320. The Nokia 6700 Slide and Nokia 7230 GSM mobile phones are compatible with UMTS/3G network and also optimized for social networking direct from the mobile phone over the internet.

The Nokia 6700 Slide features include 5 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Dual LED flash and capture key, Internet browsing with HSDPA and HSUPA and support for email and Ovi chat, FM radio and music player and support for up to 16GB microSD memory card. The phone packs S60 based operating system and it comes with 3G/UMTS connectivity. Its functions are useful in the way they should be. There are sufficient features to make the phone an interesting alternative and viable option compared to many other handsets

According to the Nokia the phone will be available in six colours including pink, red, petrol blue, aluminum, lime and purple.

Reliance Mobile Once Again Triggers Airtel on Roaming TariffThe focus of Indian mobile price war now completely shifted to Roaming tariff. Reliance Mobile which is first operator to roll out lowest National Roaming tariff, once again targeted its rival by media ads which clearly take on Bharti Airtel on Roaming tariff.

Recently when the largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has slipped to third position in terms of monthly new subscriber additions, it has slashed Roaming tariff nearly by 63% and introduces Airtel turbo plans. But Reliance Mobile once again comes with new aggressive campaign on Roaming tariff and say that customer can save their money only with Reliance.

Its 2nd time when Reliance Mobile has openly come up with an ad campaign targeting its rival and market leader AIRTEL quoting “AIRTEL DOES NOT OFFER PER SECOND TARIFF CHARGES ON ROAMING” and “Reliance Mobile bring India’s best Roaming Plans go for it”.

Reliance Communication is the 1st operator who has come up with direct challenge to its market competitors on the Local STD and Roaming tariff. COAI Warns Against "Prize Winner" Calls from Pakistan and DubaiWhile many of us have received the (now famous) “Lottery Emails” which inform of several million pounds prize money, not many of us have received calls on our mobile phones, informing of prizes won.

This has turned into the latest modus-operandi of several fraudsters, so much so that the COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India) has issued a warning to mobile subscribers, informing them against being taken for a ride by fraudulent “prize-winner” calls originating from Pakistan and Dubai. Idea Cellular has come up with two  Special Tariff Vouchers to call any Bangladesh number at just Rs 4.5/minute.

STV-1 comes at price point of Rs.12 with the tariff validity of 7 days while STV-2 cost Rs.36 with the tariff valiidity of 30 days. The New STVs will can be clubbed with Idea cellular’s  Per minute and per second tariff plans.

Idea Cellular has also introduced SMS Pack for Kolkata & WB circles.The SMS pack cost Rs.27 with 200 Free local & national SMS for 30days.

MTNL To Launch India's First 50Mbps Broadband In MumbaiMumbai’s number one Broadband and telecom service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) is all set to launch 50 Mbps extraordinary High-Speed Broadband service using VDSL technology in Mumbai telecom circle.

MTNL today announced that it has geared up to upgrade the existing ADSL network to VDSL Broadband network which can offer up to 50 Mbps download speeds and uploads up to 12 Mbps within the distance of 1 Km from telephone exchange.

The VDSL or VHDSL (Very High Bitrate DSL), on the other hand, is the next-generation technology which is capable of supporting high bandwidth applications like HDTV

MTS Extends Its Mblaze Service In RajasthanMTS India, the CDMA mobile service of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL), commercially expands its Mobile Broadband Service M-Blaze in the States of Rajasthan.MTS India also announced that its MBlaze data service will comes at India’s lowest tariff just 10 paise per MB with no roaming charges.

The MTS MBlaze EVDO Wireless Broadband Internet Services comes in two options; the Standard Data Card comes at the price point of Rs.2999 with 2GB Free Downloads while the Premium Data Card cost Rs.3499. MTS also introduced attractive Prepaid Data Plans which starts from Rs.198 per month.

According to the new announcement by MTS India, M Blaze subscriber will now be able to use this Pre-Paid service with rates as low as 10p/MB and also can enjoy data service while on move without any roaming charges on Data Services with in the MTS network. Read more…
