Tata Docomo, country’s fastest growing GSM operator who is pioneer in innovative marketing strategy in Indian telecom market has come with another rocking campaign for Mobile Number Portability.
On the occasion of Republic Day, Tata Docomo kickstarts its new MNP campaign as Celebrate Your Independence this Republic Day. The website of Tata Docomo is revamped with a new classy look.
Though Tata Docomo is criticized for its not affordable 3G tariffs, in our pre-MNP poll analysis it was revealed that Tata Docomo could be biggest gainer, i.e. good number of users like to move to Tata Docomo leaving their current operator. Tata Docomo with its attractive portfolio which includes per second 2G voice tariff, affordable SMS packs & 2G GPRS pack can grab a good per cent of Port-in customers as MNP has been rolled out.
Tata Docomo started this campaign also over some popular sites like Yahoo, MSN and Rediff to aware people regarding MNP.

@Keshav Jha
Yesterday at 12:20am in night i send a message from my airtel to port the number, today at 4:45pm, a call came from airtel executive not to port my number and they offer me two tariff plans to choose from:-
plan1.)
airtel to airtel 10p/min
airtel to any other operator 30p/min
all std 50p/min
plan2.)
all local or std at 40p/min
both plans valid for two months
I selected first plan and they said it will be activated by default after 48 hours

@karann
I know, You want quality. Then don’t go to Reliance, Aircel, MTNL & Cheers. Airtel and Vodafone are almost same. Idea is a little bit cheap, but only a little. Overall Delhi is very costly circle. So wait for some days and bargain with your Airtel. You should prefer MTS. Don’t avoid CDMA.

Local aur std barabar call ke liye kaun sa GSM operator best hai delhi mein(only gsm), Currently using airtel and my monthly recharge of 300-500, should i change or remain with it.(ONLY GSM)
Keshav Jha January 27, 2011 at 10:19 am
Haan sahi hai ki ek operator hin use karna chahiye. but ek operator hin sari jaroorat poori kar de tab na. Mujhey local call na ke barabar karna padta hai, isiliye Ulta plan use karta hoon, nahin to isme local 50p/min hai na. Phir bhi MNP aane ke baad ek operator se bhi kaam chal jayega. Do operator se jyada to kisi plan ke liye nahin chahiye.
karann January 26, 2011 at 11:50 pm
@Keshav Jha
agar hum do ya teen operators use karne ki bajaye ek hi operator use karen toh hum fayde mein rehte hein, kya yeh sach hai, as shown by your tata indicom
Ahamed January 26, 2011 at 10:45 pm
Future of TATA DOCOMO and most of the private operators now rests with Hon Supreme Court. Lets wait and see! 2G scam issue hangs as sword of Democlus over all of them.
AmitS January 26, 2011 at 10:20 pm
here in up west I ported my airtel no. to DOCOMO on 20-1-11. They gave me free sim. but still I am waiting for porting.

MNP ki jai ho…
I make almost only std calls, so I use Tata Indicom’s Ulta Plan regularly. It costs 30p/min std upto 600 min, but this time only after 400 min my std calls were being charged @50p/min. After contacting c.care I knew that limit is reduced from 600 min to 400 min. I sent a porting sms just to threaten them. It worked. C.care team contacted me & after knowing my problem they offered me 6 month Ulta Plan without any limit & free of cost. Also, Tata Indicom offers full TT on Topup 222/- through out the year. Now I am enjoying std calls @flat 30p/min without any extra cost or tax or stv price. Jiyo MNP…..
suhas January 26, 2011 at 9:22 pm
today i had been to tata indicom customer center to port my vodafone no to tata indicom and the representative there asked me to pay 70 rs as port in charge and when i asked y? he said 50rs for sim and 20 as port in charge . later i called customer care from my friend’s indicom number and the cc fellow told me that tata indicom is not charging for porting and i dont have to pay money. but finally i ended up paying up 54 rs i.e 50 for sim and 4 rs as FRC .

Vicky January 26, 2011 at 5:55 pm
@Benny
Bro what about decision reg posting ur airtel number
anurags January 26, 2011 at 5:39 pm
@Benny
and airtel is fooling us. they are not india ka network.
42% of its equity is held by a singapore based company STEL.
Benny January 26, 2011 at 4:24 pm
@Vicky In tuty i dint have any network issues…. had full coverage almost everywhere i went. In yhe evening time i had bad network congestion even when calling BSNL landline or mobile. If all ur friends are in pvt networks then sometimes inter network connectivity during peak evening hours is also not good. messages get delivered immediately these days
Voice clarity: i would say its not the best atleast when compared to Airtel
anandh January 26, 2011 at 3:36 pm
@Rohit Jain
what offer? can u explain in detail?
Vicky January 26, 2011 at 2:53 pm
@Benny
what about bsnl in tuty network and clarity
Rohit Jain January 26, 2011 at 2:50 pm
i got a pretty good MNP offer from Tata Docomo. Just to share i called in Docomo salesmen to home just to confirm that signal quality is good at my placet. Have sent an application to move from Reliance CDMA to Docomo.
udaipur January 26, 2011 at 1:25 pm
Ya Its time , switched to TATA DOCOMO
Benny January 26, 2011 at 1:13 pm
@karann
very true man. sick airtel idiots…. i hate both airtel n voTafone…. both are equally bad
karann January 26, 2011 at 12:35 pm
GUYS DO YOU KNOW THE REASON BEHIND AIRTEL TAGLINE AFTER MNP(MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY) AS “INDIA KA NETWORK”
BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT VODAFONE IS THEIR BIGGEST COMPETITOR AND VODAFONE IS A FOREIGN COMPANY, SO THEY ARE BLACKMAILING EMOTIONALLY.
SO NOW WHAT YOU ALL GUYS THINK ABOUT THIS AIRTEL’S STRATEGY, PLEASE DO REPLY EVERYONE.
Benny January 26, 2011 at 12:06 pm
on Republic day Docomo’s website is down…. Moreover in TN circle prepay offers section most of the plans under ‘combo’ packs are old ones which have expired ondec 31 itself… Cant imagine even Docomo entering Tata tele cant change their typical Indian behaviour
Manoj Abhigyan January 26, 2011 at 11:53 am
Happy Republic Day Telecomtalk team and its readers…!
Avinash M January 26, 2011 at 10:39 am
@Mayur
HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY
Well Tata DoCoMo from my point of view is a very good package of all needs.
santosh January 26, 2011 at 9:52 am
the result from Haryana shows that BSNL and Reliance are the big loosers…………and vodafone is the big gainner …so atleast now these operators will wake up hope so or else they will loose more subscribers India wide……………atlest BSNL should bring some unlimited onnet long term power plus voucher validity with six month or 1 year as they have gained momentum on this unlimited scheme……………………….RS 300………so its now time to bring down the price of this voucher to retain customer…………..
karann January 26, 2011 at 9:48 am
happy 26 january to everyone
Mahmood Junaid January 26, 2011 at 8:00 am
They should see the future aspects which is 3g…. The introduction of offers in 3g will give them boost
Mayur January 26, 2011 at 7:47 am
HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY TO ALL
Vineet January 26, 2011 at 7:11 am
I have gained my independence from tatadocomo by porting out to other operator.verx bad service in patna town.
Mane January 26, 2011 at 7:09 am
Mnp churn- bsnl and relianace are biggest loser in haryana. They lost their 20000 and 13000 users.
Vodafone gained about 23000 cust from others.
Data base is upto 16 jan
jack January 26, 2011 at 1:07 am
Docomo will definitely get more user from other operator if they come up with some good plans for 3G…they already have good 2G plans and there coverage is growing too…lets see what they do…
karann January 26, 2011 at 1:03 am
yes docomo mein kuch toh subscribers jaroor aayenge kyunki docomo advertisement bahut karta hai.
