Virgin Mobile Intros GSM Mobile Service In Orissa

Virgin Mobile the Youth focused Mobile service operator today launched its GSM mobile service in Orissa telecom circle via its franchisee agreement with Tata Teleservices. After the successful launch in Adnhra Pradesh, Chennai, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu telecom circle Orissa become the 6th circle in Virgin mobile’s GSM operations in India. Virgin Mobile Prepaid Starter Kit costs Rs 49 comes with lifetime validity and zero talk time.

Virgin Mobile initially introduces two GSM Tariff Plan, Per Minute and Per Second Billing Plan. With per minute plan all Virgin to Virgin local calls will be charged at 20 paisa and to all other local at 40 paisa per minute. The STD calls to Virgin Mobile charged at 20 paisa and to other network it cost 50 paisa. All Local and National SMS cost 50paisa and All Calls while Roaming charged at 60 paisa minute. The plan comes at daily rental of Rs.1.50.

Virgin Mobile GSM Tariff Plans In Details

Virgin Mobile yesterday launched their GSM services in India as we shared on TelecomTalk. Apart from the already existing CDMA service they have made an entrance into the GSM segment too. Bollywood celebrity Genelia D’Souza endorsed the brand launch in Mumbai. We bring you an exclusive sneak peak into their tariff of GSM Mobile Service which is now available in Chennai, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andrapradesh & Karnataka telecom circle.

Virgin Mobile GSM Starter Kit costs Rs. 49 which includes Virgin GSM SIM card with zero talktime and lifetime validity. Default tariff or Basic on the Starter kit is Local Re 1 per minute, STD Rs 1.50 per minute. To avail cheaper per minute you have to recharge with some denominations. First Recharge Coupons (FRC) are available of Rs 10, Rs 25, Rs 40, Rs 50 and Rs 100. All first recharges give full talk time, net of service tax and admin fee of Rs 2.

Virgin Mobile the Youth focused telecom operator today entered in the Indian GSM mobile service market via franchisee agreement with Tata Teleservices, in Adnhra Pradesh, Chennai, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu telecom circle. Virgin Mobile Prepaid Starter Kit costs Rs 49 comes with lifetime validity and zero talk time with Default tariff plan Local Re 1/-, STD Rs 1.50/-.

Customers on the Pay Per Second plan can move back to the Per Minute plan by doing a one-time recharge of Rs 13/- (Talk time: Rs 11.79/-).

Virgin Mobile All Set to Launch GSM Mobile Services from South India

From the last few days there was some rumors in Media, about Virgin Mobiles entry into GSM market But now its confirm news that Virgin Mobile is ready to enter in the GSM Mobile service space of India.

Headquartered in the UK, Virgin Mobile will go ahead with its alliance with Tata Teleservices to enter in the GSM market and expected to launch of GSM Mobile services from South India with in a week, using Tata Docmo/TTSL’s GSM network which has Pan India UAS license. Presently TTSL is operating its GSM mobile service in 15 telecom circles with the brand name of Tata Docomo. Virgin Mobile Launches vFLASH Pan India Mobile Broadband Service

Virgin Mobile India, the youth brand of Tata Teleservices introduces vFLASH, a high-speed Broadband-Internet access service with USB Modem (usable with both desktops & Laptops). The vFLASH USB device comes at Rs.3500 and the service will be available Pan India basis without any data roaming charges across India.

It also comes with the many on demand add-on services including vFLASH TV a new application that allows vFLASH,subscribers to watch live television channels on their laptops while on the move, and on their personal computers at home and in the office. The vFLASH TV service is exclusively available to vFLASH. The vFlash TV service which the company says is a Live streaming service ( a 7 second delay) offers 40 popular television channels.

According to the Virgin Mobile India, The new vFLASH high-speed wireless Broadband access service is 20 times faster than existing mobile wireless technology. The service allows customers to be connected—not only for mails, but also for downloads, large files uploads, photo sharing, etc. It also allows users to send and receive SMS and is compatible with both laptops and desktop PCs. The customer has an option to select his tariff plan based on his usage needs.
