The Board of Etisalat DB today announced the change of name of the erstwhile Swan Telecom a joint venture between Etisalat and DB Realty. Swan Telecom (Etisalat-Swan) has bought out Allianz Infratech, marking the first acquisition among the new companies who were given telecom licenses last year. Etisalat-Swan has also got a ‘no-objection certificate’ from Department of Telecom (DoT) for the deal, which is estimated to be worth a few hundred crores.
