Etisalat DB, GSM mobile service operator and telecom venture of Indian realty major DB Group and UAE based telecom operator Etisalat will launch its GSM Mobile Services under the brand name of Cheers Mobile in 15 telecom circles in India.
The operator is also going to launch the cheapest tariff plan wherein subscriber can make local calls at just 10 paisa per minute without any packs.
However there is no official word from the company, though they have already listed the tariff plan details and customer care numbers on their official site of ”Cheer Mobile” .

Etisalat DB Telecom has appointed McCann Worldgroup MRM Worldwide as its advertising and communications partner and Karishma Initiative (a part of Lintas group) as the media planning and buying agency. The appointment comes on close of heels of the company’s plans to rollout GSM services in the country.
MRM Worldwide (a division of McCann World group) will be responsible for the complete brand communication and creative aspects, while Karishma Initiative, would look into the planning, buying and executing media solutions for Etisalat DB Telecom.

Etisalat DB the GSM mobile service operator today announced a long term passive infrastructure sharing agreement with Reliance Communications, which will accelerate Etisalat DB Telecom’s forthcoming roll-out of GSM Mobile and other telecom services in India. Under the terms of the agreements, Etisalat DB and its subsidiary would outsource their Telecom infrastructure requirements for the 15 telecom circles, encompassing end-to-end tower and transmission infrastructure to Reliance Infratel Limited and Reliance Communications Limited, respectively.

The Board of Etisalat DB today announced the change of name of the erstwhile Swan Telecom a joint venture between Etisalat and DB Realty.
The company has officially been renamed as Etisalat DB Telecom India Pvt Ltd currently Etisalat has Unified Services Access License in 15 circles including Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mumbai,Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.

Swan Telecom (Etisalat-Swan) has bought out Allianz Infratech, marking the first acquisition among the new companies who were given telecom licenses last year. Etisalat-Swan has also got a ‘no-objection certificate’ from Department of Telecom (DoT) for the deal, which is estimated to be worth a few hundred crores. Allianz had applied for telecom licenses on a pan-India level, but was given permission to launch services in only two circles — Madhya Pradesh & Bihar. Swan Telecom, which has bagged licences to operate in 13 of the 22 telecom circle in India, is not present in these two circles.
