Exclusive: Videocon To Shut Down Services in Most Circles

After the cancellation of 2G licenses, it is now turn for Videocon to shut down services in most of the circles where they operate as we came to know from our sources. This is the 3rd operator after STel and Cheers Mobile who went to close operations.

In 2008 Videocon got license and 2G GSM spectrum for 21 circles, and in Punjab they operate as brand sharing agreement between QTL and Videocon. Read more…

Videocon Mobile Re-Launches True Unlimited GPRS Packs

Videocon Mobile Services re-introduced true unlimited 2G-GPRS packs across circles where it has rolled out commercial mobile services. Previously Videocon was offering unlimited usage with V-Internet packs, and then revised to cap usage at 4GB or 6GB.

In Mumbai STV 5, STV 13, STV 96 are available as V-Internet packs with unlimited usage for 1 day, 3days and 30 days respectively. All packs are available on paper vouchers.

While V-Internet pack STV 96 with Unlimited usage for 30 days are valid in Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh along with the limited usage packs. Read more…

Videocon GSM And BSNL CDMA Silently Enter KolkataOne of new entrants, Videocon Mobile Services is on the way to roll out its services in Kolkata. Official dates are not fixed, but Videocon GSM SIM cards are available in few stores.

According to the stores selling Videocon SIM the company is yet to launch its services officially.

Videocon is looking for distributor partnership to reach the SUK to all parts of the metro. The stores cannot tell the tariff or validity of the Videocon connections.

New connections of Videocon are available at Rs 10. Users will get confirmed 350 local minutes for 1st month as promotional offer. One can check the mobile no. dialing *1#.

Videocon Intros New Internet PackVideocon Mobile Services which offers GSM services in 17 circles till date has introduced a new prepaid internet pack.

Videocon’s new 2G-GPRS Pack costs just Rs 58, which comes with 2 GB data with 30 day validity. Videocon also has unlimited GPRS plans for its subscribers.

Currently Videocon is providing 2G data services (GPRS-EDGE) in Haryana, UP(East), UP(West), Gujarat, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu incl. Chennai, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. The pack is valid for these circles.

End of Era: Videocon Withdraws Unlimited GPRS Pack

Videocon Mobile Services who is pioneer in bringing damn-cheap Own-Net Special Tariff Vouchers, has withdrawn the True Unlimited GPRS Packs in all telecom circles. Recently company also put the FUP on some popular voice Voice STVs for Own Net and STD calls in all circles.

At a time of launch Videocon offered RCV 96 for Unlimited GPRS/ Mobile Internet till 30 days and got Maximum Number of Popularity. Now the operator have withdrawn its “True Unlimited GPRS” offer, not totally but putting FUP/CAP on them by following the same policy of its On-Net calling and STD packs.

Now GPRS Pack of Rs.5 comes with 35 MB Data Cap, Rs.13 for 500 MB, while Monthly pack of Rs.96 will provide Free Data Usage up to 6 GB only. Read more…
