Nokia Lumia 1320- This has got a 6-inch display with 720p resolution and 245ppi density. The 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM gives decent merely above average processing capabilities. It has 8 GB internal memory and 64 GB card slot. A 5 MP rear camera with a miniscule VGA front camera is not the best in the class. You need to pay about Rs 22,990 for this.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2-  It gets 5.25 inches display with a 720p display resolution. It gets a 1.2 GHz quad core processor on the inside and a 1.5 GB RAM. 8GB is what you get for internal storage alongside memory expansion ability of 64GB. At the backis a 8MP rear camera which is joined in by a 1.9MP camera unit up front. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and gets Dual SIM functionality too.

The CPU configuration is 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. The Android 4.3 based device offers 8, 16 and 32 GB variants without any card slot. Nokia Lumia 920- 4.5 inches (768 x 1280 pixels), 332 ppi pixel density, IPS LCD capacitive touch-screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 makes its display unit. A dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor with 1 GB RAM runs the device. It has 8 MP primary and 1.3 MP secondary cameras. It comes with 32 GB internal memory with no further extension possibility. Samsung Galaxy Note- 5.3 inch (800×1280 pixels) HD super AMOLED display, Dual Core 1.4 Ghz processor with Mali 400 MP dedicated graphics processor, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera, and stylus support makes it a hot buy in this price segment. Spend about Rs 20,900 to get this. Yes it is quite old a device but still accounts for a decent buy if you like the S-Pen functionality and can live with an older version of Android.

Our take:The list does not end here and there are some other good devices as well in the same price range on offer such as the Gionee Elife E7(roughly Rs 25,000 for the base 16GB model) and Galaxy S3 (Rs 22,000-23,000). The Rs 20,000-25,000 is getting crowded pretty fast. In my opinion, Nexus 4 and Grand 2 make the most amount of sense if you want an Android device. If Windows Phone is your thing, Lumia 920 makes a lot of sense. Do let us know what you think about the smartphones in this segment.
