BSNL has increased SMS charges now the operator charges 5p/SMS instead of 1p/SMS with its new STV 13 SMS pack. BSNL also revised some plans and introduced a new SMS packs.

  • All plans are for both 2G and 3G prepaid users of BSNL.
  • New tariff is applicable from 1st September, 2011.
  • Though in the circular BSNL adds: “The impact of above tariff needs to be analysed and feedback submitted on monthly basis to BSNL HQ for future reference” I doubt BSNL will stick to newly revised plans.

What BSNL messed up, they simply reduced both the validity and benefits, as a result users may move to other operator as per as their sms requirement.
