After huge public outcry, Pan India 3G mobile service operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) finally revised its “Pay Per Second” plan with uniform 1p/sec for all outgoing calls to any network across India from BSNL Mobile.
Earlier in the Pay Per Second Plan (STV-45), there was 1.2p/Sec for outgoing call charges to other network and 1p/Sec for calls with in BSNL network. The New tariff will be applicable with the SMS based STV-49 which provide uniform 1p/sec tariff, valid for 365 days from the date of recharge.
To activate the New ‘Pay Per Second Plan” BSNL Prepaid Customer has to send a SMS ACT 1S on 53733.Under this scheme Rs.49 will be deducted from customer’s balance talk time and new PPS Plan will be activated.

@ Ankan
No Mr. Bafna is right. Those offers are available in Gujrat circle. But it is a local offer therefore not available in all india basis.
Ankan April 9, 2011 at 2:40 am
BSNL CC say that there is no such offer. The rates are 1p/s in BSNL & 1.2p/s in others(in STD & Roaming both). So this is not a real news. I request to Mr. Sanjay Bafna to know the details of this news and then post in this site.
Thank You
Soumya April 5, 2011 at 10:27 pm
There are no such uniform call rate offer i.e 1p/s in kolkata till date. The rates are 1p/s in bsnl & 1.2p/s in others (including STD & Roaming)
i45 April 5, 2011 at 5:31 pm

Offer refereed here belong to Gujarat telecom circle
Nilanjan April 5, 2011 at 3:24 pm
not working in kolkata circle….
Raghu April 5, 2011 at 2:25 pm
@Kaushik Roy
what u have said abt call rates/best network list is correct.but my list given is only network especially in roaming. Uninor is also really good but it only lacks coverage,even with one signal, we can talk for hrs without any disconnection,if they improve the coverage definitely Uninor will come into the TOP 5 in the next 1 -2 years. have not tried out MTS till now . Idea is good in AP but not as good as Airtel.
Kaushik Roy April 5, 2011 at 1:28 pm
@Raghu
I am talking only about operators who are giving all calls @ 1p/1s
overall best network wise list is 1) Airtel,2)BSNL,3)RCDMA,4)Vodafone,5)Idea,6)Tata Indicom,7)Aircel
MTS is really good in the Circles they r present,Uninor is so so operator
IDEA may be good in AP but in WB its below average, but it is just 1.5 years old in Kolkata so may be in next 2 years it will be better
tejas April 5, 2011 at 1:25 pm
@blah
yes docomo offers are very customer friendly…but their problem is very basic…”bad network”….so even after the offers u end up feeling frustrated. i m from gujarat and docomos network here isnt good and reliable. i recently used it for roamming purpose but that dint help as most of the time i was using other operators network as docomo wasnt available and so ended up paying the same re. 1 for incoming and re. 1 and rs. 1.5 for outgoing… so no use.. what else to say.
Raghu April 5, 2011 at 1:06 pm
@Kaushik Roy
as per my knowledge, all over india best is 1) Idea 2) Airtel 3) Vodafone 4) BSNL 5) RCDMA, but while roaming we have to keep first 3 sims with us so that if there is no coverage of one operator, we can rely on another operator, if the first three not able to provide, then BSNL comes into the picture.
Kaushik Roy April 5, 2011 at 12:49 pm
In kolkata circle Idea,RGSM/RCDMA,Docomo and now BSNL giving all calls including roaming @ 1p/1s
and network wise best all over India as per my thinking is 1)BSNL , 2)Idea and 3)RCDMA
others are lacking behind in coverage like RGSM and Docomo
blah April 5, 2011 at 11:01 am
only tata docomo gives 1p/sec everywhere including roaming, although they don’t have network at several places.
ansh April 5, 2011 at 10:12 am
Dear Sanjay Ji, From where u got this information.. i am not finding this information any where
surya April 5, 2011 at 8:36 am

Raghu April 4, 2011 at 11:53 pm
this discrimination should be stopped by operators. Pan-India also on roaming should be charged at 1p/sec and hope TT takes this up with the concerned and do the needful immediately .
selvam April 4, 2011 at 10:49 pm
@Sahil Shah yes correct ..after only MNP the pvt operators gvng 1P/sec 1p/2sec ETC….

Sahil Shah April 4, 2011 at 10:38 pm
Atleast they provide 1.2p/sec In Gujarat Vodafone, Airtel and Idea are charging 1.5p/Sec to Landline. Whereas BSNL provides 1p/sec to all even while roaming from the very beginning.
deb April 4, 2011 at 10:23 pm
NOT ALL PROVIDERS,,,,,IN KOLKATA VODAFONE AND AIRTEL STILL NOT PROVIDING 1P/SEC TO ALL NETWORKS,,,,, THEY PROVIDE ON NET @ 1P/SEC AND OFF NET @ 1.2P/SEC,,,,,
Kanaga Deepan N April 4, 2011 at 7:52 pm

Jiju April 4, 2011 at 5:29 am
this is applicable 2 prepaid B S N L customer’s only. what abt postpaid customer’s. is this 1ps/second ia applicable there.
amarnath April 3, 2011 at 11:11 pm
really now the bsnl was thinking about coustmer and MNP. all of us know that all service provider has giving 1ps for secound to any network. but Now the bsnl was realized about their mistake. and taken right decision at last movement . so bsnl might be can hold some of their valuable coustmer’s now
Keshav Jha April 3, 2011 at 10:36 pm
Why not on simply recharging with rs 45/-.
Keshav Jha April 3, 2011 at 10:34 pm

Emad April 3, 2011 at 3:20 pm
on the ocassion of world cup winning bsnl should launch a true lifetime offer so we can remember these moments for lifetime waiting from bsnl…. . . .lifetime validity and other lifetime packs such as 6 paisa per sms after first sms 60 paisa and 277 mb gprs pack at Rs. 6
Girish April 3, 2011 at 2:36 pm
@Sanjay Bafna
I have 1p/sec plan.
Last month i was in Banglore on roaming and it was charging Rs 1.5 per min for all incoming and outgoing calls for both local and STD.

Benny April 2, 2011 at 9:50 pm
BSNL has the most horrible STVs. No long duration packs, no combo packs, no ISD packs. BSNL needs a much better marketing team
vinay April 2, 2011 at 9:48 pm
so they looted money for 1 year.
dr.surender April 2, 2011 at 9:10 pm
c.care dont have vany such information. also no such information on bsnl website. how to confirm it?
Abhijit April 2, 2011 at 8:48 pm
same MTNL roaming issue discuss by we both many times here but nothing happens on MTNL Mumbai deaf ears even after MNP implementation. Remember MTNL Delhi already giving roaming calls @ 0.70ps/min.then why only MTNL Mumbai can’t reduce roaming rates?
PD April 2, 2011 at 7:33 pm
MTNL is still spoil-sport. When will they remove the Rs.1/50 tariff ?
Ram April 2, 2011 at 5:40 pm
BSNL always customer oriented network.
Its most affordable tariff plant and good for all customer.
Nilanjan April 2, 2011 at 5:20 pm
Is this available in kolkata??
SUNIL April 2, 2011 at 5:14 pm

harsh April 2, 2011 at 4:58 pm
hey hello, BSNL cast. care hav no info. about this officer…….
selvam April 2, 2011 at 4:20 pm
@Nikita same 1ps per sec
selvam April 2, 2011 at 4:19 pm
@pam it is not in other pvt operators ok.. they are gvg to curtail the closure of connections ..also so many connections are not active in means of incoming & outgoing calls…that’s why the are showing that they are having more connections..but in bsnl they are maintaining the norms as per the TRAI’s directions..if u are not charging the connection will be closed automatically..but the pvt operators are maintaining the recharge condition for the retailers..also bsnl is giving validity on topup vouchers it self by gvng validity with talkvalue
Aamit April 2, 2011 at 3:34 pm
Bsnl rocks
Aamit April 2, 2011 at 3:32 pm
@ISHWAR
Very good suggestion brother. If Bsnl does that then it will be the best affordable mobile operator of India.
Mahmood Junaid April 2, 2011 at 3:15 pm
this is a good move…
Abadan Mohapatra April 2, 2011 at 3:13 pm
Best among private or Best among all ? Anyway, I don’t think they’ll offer so low a pack as after all, BSNL offers Outstanding services so service cost will be more unlike Docomo which offers superb deals but has a poor network well enough to prevent you from enjoying any offer’s true potential.
But still, as BSNL is PSU, it may offer too low priced packs as well .
ISHWAR April 2, 2011 at 3:00 pm
BSNL HAVE TO DECLARE UNIFORM TARRIF OF 1p/2Sec to all local for 365 days validity with the Recharge less than 50RS.
Then it will be considered as best among private service providers.
rohan April 2, 2011 at 2:46 pm
Roaming was never 1rs/min. For per sec it was 1p/s only outgoing was 1.2p/sec to other netwk.
Sanjay Bafna April 2, 2011 at 2:46 pm
@Mane
@SOURAV CHATTEJEE
@Nikita National Roaming charges will be 1p/Sec for all Outgoing and Incoming calls.
rohan April 2, 2011 at 2:43 pm
Roaming charges remain same i.e 1p/s.
Abadan Mohapatra April 2, 2011 at 2:28 pm
Wow ! So, words come true… Few days ago, I had just for fun sent UPC Request from my BSNL no. BSNL people called me and asked about why I want to port. I told about Tariff and validity vouchers. They said, no info. about ending up of validity voucher system but soon, 1p/sec will be made uniform for all operators and 1p/2sec for all Local calls will come up for 2/3 months for Rs. 65-75 just like most other operators as against current Rs. 61 for just 1 month. 1 News correct, waiting for the second.
amit April 2, 2011 at 2:14 pm
@SOURAV CHATTEJEE
no its 1 paise/sec
Nikita April 2, 2011 at 2:13 pm
@ Mr. Sanjay Bafna
What are the roaming charges with this tariff voucher???
vineet April 2, 2011 at 2:11 pm
for bihar circle it was 1ps/sec tariff for all network from starting.
Abhishek April 2, 2011 at 2:07 pm
also, I think roaming tariff has also been revised to 1p/sec uniform
Abhishek April 2, 2011 at 2:01 pm
BSNL is best for India Rural
Emad April 2, 2011 at 1:50 pm
Bsnl havo no lifetime validity recharge and worst operator
pam April 2, 2011 at 1:47 pm
BSNL…. one thing more please stop taking charges to increase account validity. as in other operators they dont take any extra charges for validity.
SOURAV CHATTEJEE April 2, 2011 at 1:44 pm
roaming i think @1 rs / min
Abhijit April 2, 2011 at 1:39 pm
For west zone since launch it was 1ps/sec tariff. But rs.69 deduction frm balance for 365 days. So now for west zone bsnl users whether it will be rs.69 or rs.45 deduction?
Mane April 2, 2011 at 1:31 pm
And roaming charges?
Abhijit April 2, 2011 at 1:30 pm
Then from roaming also all @1ps/sec know. Or from roaming same old 1.2ps/sec tariff!
karann April 2, 2011 at 1:25 pm
@kanna

rafeek April 2, 2011 at 1:20 pm
