Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), one of the Pan India telecom operator today announced the launch of new STV-125 (Special Tariff voucher) for its prepaid 2G GSM customers in Himachal Pradesh telecom circle.
BSNL’s new STV-125 (Rs.125) is specially tailored to provide maximum benefits for Own-Net callings just at 8 paisa/min. The operator claims that its new offer is far better and affordable from all other offers available in the Himachal Pradesh circle by various mobile operators wherein Own-net calling benefit is limited to to 10 mobile numbers.
The STV-125 is priced at Rs125 wherein one can make Unlimited calls to any local BSNL number at 25 paisa per minute in day time and just at 8p/min in night hours. Remaining tariffs such as Other networks Local and STD Calls will be charged at 50p/min. The ISD call charges will be applicable as per normal prepaid plan. The tariff will be valid for 365 days from the date of recharge.

BSNL is good with call rates and Best with GPRS but needs to go easy on sms specially national and roaming.
why not, charge no roaming when atleast on bsnl’s own network. (just like MTNL)

may be they are good in your area. the main problem with BSNL they do not care for the Land Line customers at all.so many people are surrendering the BSNL landlines and they are not even bothered still to Launch Customer Centric offers i dont know why.

i don’t know why you guys hate bsnl but at this time bsnl is the only operator in himachal who has best network coverage, best prepaid plans and other services, where other operators like airtel, aircel, vodafone, reliance etc. has very poor network and not such good plans like bsnl. I am using a bsnl number & an aircel number this time and bsnl and aircel has network coverage in this area whereas airtel’s network fails here. what to say more about it, BSNL BEST HAI HUMARE LIYE.

you are saying that BSNL today launched this STV, but this STV was launched one or one and half month ago in Himachal Pradesh. you can confirm with customer care.

Roaming charges will be applicable as customers existing plan(PPS/PPM), No Talk time, and STVs for SMS/GPRS etc can be clubbed with this yearly pack.
The STV-125 is tailored for Himachal Pradesh market.

What is so special in this plan??
25p onnet is common thing..
8p Night Onnet is also no big deal.. Even Airtel has 5p/min and Rs1/20min night calling..
50p offnet Local/STD is almost a minimum/basic requirement today..
Rs125 for STV is also NO CHEAP..
10p Local SMS is OK (NOT GREAT and NOT BAD).. But Rs1 National SMS (160 CHARACTERS COSTLIER THAN 120seconds of TALKING????) spoils the SMS Fun too…
Only good thing is tariff validity of one year..
But what are the roaming charges?? Any Talktime given with this STV???
Any more catches like few STVs can’t be used with this plan???
