I have opted for this plan what happens after 90 days will they revert me to my previous plan or they charge me every MB i download without notifying me.

  • soman pillai July 6, 2014 6:34 am

All BSNL BB Plans are not customer friendly
They always finger with the speed They must fix the speed combination first
Plans should be based on fixed speed and variable Data

  • Arafat July 2, 2014 12:15 pm

    Hello all,

Does anyone have an idea about this new plan? I got a new bsnl broadband connection and opted for this 1445 plan. Now when i called their office they told me that my plan was 1445, but when i asked them about the speed which I would get they said that there is no such plan as 1445 for landline broadband. That is only for fibre broadband. Does anyone have an idea?

    • Senthilkumar R July 5, 2014 1:21 pm

I opted for 1445 plan on may 20th. The speed is awesome after 20GB FUP. Constantly i am getting 1 Mbps after 20GB.

      • Dineshkumar - tirupur October 20, 2015 4:36 pm

bsnl BBG Combo ULD 1445 {2 Mbps upto 20 GB, 1 Mbps beyond 20 GB} mean .2 mbps 20gb comeing after 1 mbps Unlimited or 20GB after 512kbps

        • BP Singh October 20, 2015 5:25 pm

2Mbps Speed till 20 GB and then 1Mbps speed thereafter whole month.
This is the best popular plan of BSNL.

  • soman pillai June 18, 2014 5:56 pm

wonder bsnl is short of ideas
at least they should have avoided the figure 2799 for the new plan since a plan with the same digit is already there. BB speed 2799 combo which offer 8 mbps speed and 60 GB data. and the new one is BBG-COMBO-ULD-2799-MONTHLY . even the staff is confused then what will happen to the customers

    • soman pillai - kalyan July 6, 2014 1:44 am

Oh Now they say there is no plan named BBG speed 2799 combo even though their plan selector page still shows the same The new plan is BBG speed 2949 Combo

  • Mahesh May 23, 2014 10:17 pm

Can you guys please explain what does a promotional plan for 90 days mean? Does it mean it’ll only last for 90 days after which I’ll be needed to move to a new plan?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • saravanan June 5, 2014 1:09 pm

This plan can be activated within this 90 day period, and u can use it as long as u want. only plan activation is only limited to 90 days period

    • soman pillai July 6, 2014 1:49 am

I think the plan charges during the promotional period will be stable for 90 days only The rate can be revised after that (Mumbai metro promotional fare is Rs.10 Only later it can even go up to Rs.40)

  • Nagpur User May 21, 2014 10:00 pm

I am from Nagpur. My broadband plan was ULD 950. I went to Bsnl office to change my broadband plan. They told me to write a application and I did what they said. I had clearly mention that I want the 1445 plan. The Bsnl guy took my application and wrote my phone number and 1445 on it. After 3-4 days, when I checked the self care portal I saw that my current plan is 1425 :/ WTF I WANTED 1445 WALA PLAN NOT THAT SHITTY 1425 PLAN. NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO ????

    • Andy May 26, 2014 9:55 am

I am from Pune. Same thing happened to me too ; ( when i had specifically mentioned 1445 on the application….this sucks

    • soman pillai July 6, 2014 2:00 am

The same thing happened to me also I asked for a plan BBG speed 2799 combo (suggested by the plan selector page) but I got a plan Named BBG ULD COMBO 2799. Again I tried then I got the same BBG speed 2949 Combo

  • Yash May 14, 2014 2:59 pm

Plan successfully changed. it has reflected on the self care portal as well.
although it should be 2mpbs. the speed test app on my phone shows about 1.7 mbps.

torrent downloads also show speeds of 180-200 Kbps which is not 2mbps.

but what i wanted was 1mbps after FUP and that is a guarantee.

Anyone facing problems in Pune, please let me know. I might be able to help

    • Ketan May 15, 2014 12:28 pm

      2mb/8 = 256kBps

      • Yash May 16, 2014 2:22 pm

Yes i know that, that is why i wrote it is NOT truly 2mbps!!

        • Unni May 8, 2015 8:49 pm

Hey, This is because we are not getting dedicated ( one particular ip) connection. So you get 1.7 Mbps speed.

  • Ankit May 13, 2014 5:30 pm

I went to exchange today, they have no information regarding these new plans.
I said, it’s on bsnl site. Then, they said..”Abhi upar se order nhi aaye”…

    What should I do?

    • Suny May 20, 2014 9:47 pm

These plans are now available. u can opt for the same.

  • Yash May 13, 2014 2:02 pm

    Yes!!YES!!YES!! finally got the plan.
    ULD 1445
went to the BSNL office again and told them that the plan is now on their website. first they said that the plan is not for maharashtra, but i insisted. they checked and it was available for maharashtra!!:D:D

i have put in an application, and they said the plan will change in 2 days.

one question that the BSNL ppl did not answer, so im asking you: if this is a promotional plan, will i stop getting this plan after 90 days. the promotional plan is offered only for 90 days.

  • Yash May 12, 2014 11:18 am

after checking out the self portal I came to know that i have to register on the west zone portal i.e.

i registered on it successfully. but to change broadband tariff plan it asks me to contact customer care. I went to the bsnl office on monday morning, and they say they have no idea about any such plan (i wanted the 1445 plan).

i have contacted 3 offices in Pune:
    Kayani Bakery branch
    Bajirao road branch
    GPO office branch

None of them have any idea about these plans 🙁 :-/

Please can anyone let me know if they have changed their plan from west zone, as it seems that south zone customers are able to change their plan through the self portal.

you south zone guys are lucky 🙁

As you said i successfully registered to change to 1445 plan through self care portal from Karnataka and they called me today and are saying that there is no such plan and it is 1425 ,i said it is available as its listed in self care portal and they are saying we have no idea about this and we have to get circular from head office.I am screwed now , i am still in the old 950uld plan which is 999 from this month without any speed upgrade 🙁

      • suny May 20, 2014 9:51 pm

U ask now as this must be available now. the same has started from 15th May.

  • Vishwanath May 11, 2014 2:54 pm

Tarun sir thanks for the wonderful and cheering news. I would like to know is this a promotional limited period offer or a regular plan?Waiting for your valuable reply.

  • Yash May 10, 2014 12:44 pm

went to the BSNL office, they don’t know about these plans. Nor is it updated on
How should we convince them that such a plan exists?

    • Senthilkumar R May 10, 2014 3:01 pm

Both the plans got updated in from today onwards.

      • Bandhan Preet Singh May 10, 2014 5:20 pm

          Portal.Will see …

      • Vishwanath May 11, 2014 2:47 pm

      • Yash May 12, 2014 12:41 am

        Thanks 😀

tried to register on the self service portal link you gave above, and it says this is not a valid BB username, i have just typed the same user name which is printed on my bill!!:@

Glad to know these plans have been updated somewhere atleast. will run to the BSNL office tomorrow morning itself and try changing the plan through there.

        • Senthilkumar R May 12, 2014 7:19 am

Before using selfcare portal you should register first in that website. After registering. BSNL customer care executive will call you , verify the details and activate it.

    • Vishwanath May 11, 2014 2:46 pm

I also made a request to change to “BBG Combo ULD 1445” plan through self care
Portal from Mysore, Karnataka.Lets wait see and i would also like to know do i have to submit a letter, Because last time when i changed my plan through broadband plan selector portal they called me and said you have to come and submit a letter to the office addressing CTO officer which is embracing and not a real online upgrade.

  • Adarsh May 10, 2014 9:57 am

Can you give the link to any official website having this information ? The bsnl guys say that there is no such plans available or coming. They want links to official websites.

  • Mohamed May 10, 2014 9:24 am

I’m already in ULD 1425 plan and if i change the plan today to ULD 1445 How billing will be done?

  • Tiju Mattam May 10, 2014 6:24 am

The problem of BSNL is attitude of employees as well as customers. The employees thought that they are king and customers are slaves. In India most of the government employees have the same attitude. What we do? We do nothing. We simply criticising BSNL. It is a public company. It uses our money. so we should treat BSNL as our company. If we have a problem in our home we try to solve it. We never run away. In the case of BSNL what we do. We simply speak and select any other private company.

  • ad May 9, 2014 5:21 pm

These plain are the first ones of bsnl at speed of 1mbps after FUP with a Premium price.

Forget this shit just get Evado because at this 1445rs price range it is to costly when Evado is there !.

In India Wired Broadband is Expensive while 3G is cheaper. Looting congress damaged bsnl

    Bardez, Goa

It is because of such elements govt organizations are Badnam.

  • Aravind Ganesh V May 9, 2014 6:59 am

The plans are looking good.. I don’t think it is costly because they give free 250 calls within BSNL network..

BSNL is good except for their customer care services.. Esp here in Chennai the customer care people simply don’t care.. They don’t even have the knowledge about their own tariffs.. At times to hide their incapability the cc people stoop to the level of harassing customers..

With NDA projected to form the govt i am sure that they will bring in some reforms to improve the performance & reliability of all the sick PSUs (specifically BSNL & MTNL) If BSNL can improve the quality of services then it can bounce back very easily and will be a good competitor for private players..

  • Suvham May 8, 2014 11:06 pm

    Good plans.

  • Lolachan May 8, 2014 10:10 pm

Really a waste plan.By taking this plan you will loose your money and waste of time.Better go with private BB even if the price are little high.If we make any complaint ragarding the fault the bsnl people always ask to contact outside technician to rectify.

    • Weir May 8, 2014 10:42 pm

Not all of cities have Private Players…We Only depend upon BSNL

      • Bandhan Preet Singh May 8, 2014 11:08 pm

Pls get in writing if BSNL gets Private then call rates, Data rates will be sky high in this country. in absence of Govt competition and regulation every company wants to mint money.
just recall the pre 2001 era when rate of Incoming call and outgoing call was too high. The moment BSNL arrived in the Mobile Telephony the call rates dropped from Rs.10 o/g to Rs.2. and incoming call became free.
We do criticise BSNL and its good to keep it going. But unnecessary dragging its not good. BSNL needs improvement, we all know this. Lets become a aware citizen and highlight the Plus & minus points to improve it.
there are many guys here who are associated with Pvt companies and make bad comments just to highlight Pvt companies in good light 😉
BSNL will Improve and i am a firm believer of it…!!
Change is the Only Constant in LIFE, Lets bring the Good change in BSNL and helps Nation…!!

          R U From BSNL…Can u help me in a mtter with bsnl…When I complaint to PG about BSNL..BSNL Employes Threatened me..What Can I do now…

The matter of fact I cant do nothing instead of using BSNL…Becuase no private BB here in my City…

          No competition..No Reasonable Rates…No service…

Just Read BSNL Hyderabad Tariff Rate and DO REPLY…

  • Ivan May 8, 2014 7:40 pm

BSNL Sucks at service i so wish it gets privatised because being a govt company this company wont grow and wont make profits and will never improve customer service.

BSNL 3G & ADSL that i use almost always have a downtime, but if it works it is splendid and for the internet to work properly and proper service isnt too much to ask since we pay for it.

  • amit May 8, 2014 6:57 pm

bro, BBG Combo ULD 2799 plan’s rental is 2799 or 2345?

  • Sudhakar May 8, 2014 2:38 pm

Waste plans. Still the upload speed is at only 768 Kbps. Not worth using the above plans. In all the plans, the upload speed must also be equal to the download speed. Or else waste.

    For example :
In the above Rs.1445 plan, the upload speed must also be 2 Mbps till 20 GB (not 20 GB for upload + 20 GB for download) and 1 Mbps after 20 GB.

    • Bandhan Preet Singh May 8, 2014 5:20 pm

These plans are on ADSL technology. So upload speed and download speed can never be equal. Pls do not hit and hate BSNL on every now and then. Pls criticise but under technical feasibility.
95% users do downloading stuff rather uploading. If u have such issue then go for special plan.
If you want higher upload speed then go for those plans. check bsnl website.
I have seen some guys shouting on BSNL on petty issues.

      • weir May 8, 2014 7:23 pm

        thnx for knoelwdge about adsl
i went today at bsnl office , the guyz over there had zero knowledge about this plan

Lack of knowledge poor customer service

      • Sudhakar May 9, 2014 4:27 am

In plans with 512 Kbps after fair usage limit, then upload upload speed and the download speed will be equal. If it is the case, then why can’t at 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps?.

        • Bandhan Preet Singh May 9, 2014 9:33 am

Pls read the comment again. He wants upload speed more than 768 kbps.
          He can’t get same (U/L & D/L) speed of 2mbps or 4mbps in a plan.
In ADSL, both streams are different (frequencies) in the line reaching Modem.
In FUP plan, after a usage limit only D/L speed is controlled and intentionally made low. But we can’t make U/L high (Low to high). It means, we can control speed to make it low but can’t make it high in ADSL. 😉
For this we have to take separate special plans like VDSL.
pls read little bit more about ADSL (Asymmetric DSL) technology.

          • Sudhakar May 9, 2014 2:38 pm

In 2001 and all they said it is possible to give only 56 Kbps in copper wires. Then broadband was developed at higher speed. The speed in wired broadband is much more stable than 3G and 4G. So same upload speed (as the download speed should be possible). The telecom companies are lazy to implement.
Who will take VDSL plans where the download speed is 16 Mbps, 24 Mbps and upload speed is just 768 Kbps (actual speed at 740 Kbps !!!)?.

          • Akhil Mohan May 10, 2014 7:21 am

Don’t ignore the fact that BSNL are totally clueless on importance of upload speed. In ADSL u say the technology dont exist, but in 3G also the upload speed is pathetic.

            • Sudhakar May 10, 2014 8:11 pm

              Well said. Check in

    • kumar May 9, 2014 6:29 pm

If you want reasonable upload a minimum of 1 mbps or more for upload go for BSNL-FTTH, a better option

  • rajesh kumar dubey May 8, 2014 2:28 pm

its very costly bro 800k is if this available then i will go for it

  • Pranjal May 8, 2014 2:27 pm

I love BSNL broadband services and their plans, but in my area Jhansi, UP, the officials really don’t care about customer support. Every next day, the cables gets damage anyhow and my connection goes dead. After suffering with this issue for nearly one and half year. I had terminated my broadband connection, and I am now using Idea 3G. Though, it’s costly in comparable to Broadband, but it never goes down, the average download speed I receive remains around 1-1.2 Mbps.

    • Sudhakar May 9, 2014 2:40 pm

I also like BSNL wired broadband because of more than 350 days uptime in a year, stable speed (eventhough customer care is worst and at shameless level !!!). I am using BSNL ULD 900 plan.

  • madhav May 8, 2014 2:20 pm

I think we need to wait for Reliance 4G. BSNL s speed is really horrible, we must move on now with 4G speed.

    • rajesh kumar dubey May 8, 2014 4:37 pm

when reliance 4g will launch then immediately i will shifted to there broadband and leave the fu**king bsnl broadband

  • Weir May 8, 2014 2:15 pm

It is for All over India???

I am currently on 1425 plan…I will Switch to immeditely…Thnx TT

    • Tarun May 8, 2014 2:18 pm

Yes its all over India, Check with your local BSNL guys before opting the plan …

      • boneless May 10, 2014 9:16 am

when will these plans be updated on bsnl website?…coz the bsnl guys here have no clue about these plans…they don’t even have any circulars about these plans…how am I to convince them about these plans?

        • Harish May 11, 2014 12:32 pm

Can we do mid month plan changes in BSNL, or will the new plan be effective only from 1st of next month or will it be effective mid month itself?

          • Vishwanath May 11, 2014 9:20 pm

Yes, you can do mid month plan changes in BSNL.I have done many times.
