This is a good step to empower rural areas where information takes time to update, Unlike Punjab which developed itself due to the same, other parts of India could not. Now we might see growth in Maharashtra & Goa in terms of advancements…This will prove to be beneficial in the field of Agriculture & its subsidiaries. BSNL has to just ensure usage of same in proper way, hope they take some steps with that too…

Very very nice plan, but sad it is only for broadband. We cann’t take landline everywhere. BSNL should introduce such plans in wireless broadband also.

bsnl is now trigerring data tariff war for past two weeks by agressively reducing cost and increasing speed in fixed broadband, 3g data and evdo services… hope this will lead to a high broadband growth in india and attain the lowest data cost in the world as we are having lowest voice tariff in the world….
