BSNL Launches 2 STVs for Local Calling for 90 Days in TN & Chennai

In an attempt to attract new customers and keep existing customers connected, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new series of special tariff vouchers for local calling with longer validity in Tamilnadu and Chennai telecom circles.

Bsnl stv 213

Available from 19.2.2013 these new plans are offering 30p/min local calling to BSNL prepaid mobile users in Tamilnadu and Chennai circles.

BSNL STV 213: It offers all local calls including fixed line at flat 30 paisa per minute for 90 days. It adds Rs 50 as UV. If you activate this pack sending sms VOICE213 to 53733 the amount will be deducted is Rs 189.57.

BSNL STV132: It offers all local calls incl. the fixed line at flat 1paisa per 2 seconds for 90 days. If you activate it by sending sms VOICE132 to 53733 the amount of Rs 117.48 will be dedected from your account.

These plans are available to all current plans incl. Nessam group of plans. If someone is on old plans, he has to migrate to new plan and opt for these STVs.

BSNL’s these two STVs are cheapest in these circles, as no private operators offer the same to landline calls, and some of them are offering it as 1.2paisa/2seconds.

Which GSM network is providing more values for your money?

    1. BSNL Mobile (Subscriber wise No.4 – both Circle 900 Mhz Network in Chennai & RoTN):

    STV44 (30 days) & STV132 (90 days): All Local Mobile + Landline (Any Network) in TN@1paise/2sec or 0.5p/Sec

    2. AIRCEL (Subscriber wise No.1 – both Circle 900 MHz Network in Chennai & RoTN):

    STV65 (30 days) & STV165 (90 days): All Local Mobiles (Any Network) in TN@30p/min

    3. VODAFONE (Subscriber wise No.3 – 1800 Mhz & 900 MHz network in Chennai & RoTN):

    STV69 (28 days) & STV169 (90 days): All Local Mobiles (Any Network) in TN@30p/min

    4.AIRTEL (Subscriber wise No.2 – 900 Mhz & 1800 MHz Network in Chennai & RoTN):

    STV69 (28 days) & STV169 (90 days): All Local Mobiles (Any Network) in TN@30p/min

Due to Zero ad, Poor Brand – (Plans, Offers, facilities & Services ) Visibility ; BSNL (white elephant in Indian telecom) is struggling to get No.1 Position in Chennai & RoTN Circle.

BSNL’s local STVs are cheaper compared to other operators. Use private operators for outgoing calls only during the 5 blackout days (in which BSNL charges base tariff).

Moreover I am trying for jobs in gulf. So I need to stick on to the operator which support international roaming in prepaid. Aircel and docomo charge Rs.99 to Rs.149 rental per month for this facility. Idea gives the facility for free and In airtel, we can recharge with number locker recharge Rs.600 (which is valid for 2 years and monthly rental comes only to Rs.25).

I am talking about Tamilnadu circle :
Simply do not praise reliance gsm. Its coverage is worst and is always using aircel network. Because of this, gprs itself is not working properly. Third class network.

Here UV denotes: Usage value (Called as Talk value or Talk time).

    Fact -1:

Before Dayanithi maran period, Tamilnadu considered as two telecom circles – Chennai & RoTN, as like Mumbai & Rest of Maharastra, Kolkata & Rest of west Bengal.

At that time Tamilnadu mobile users cannot enjoy free incoming & outgoing while roaming in Chennai.

Few years ago both circles merged as one circle and called as Tamilnadu telecom Circle.

This is one of the advantages for Chennai and TN mobile users.

Still TN’s first 4 GSM networks (Aircel, Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone) have keeping Tamilnadu as two circles (Chennai – Metro Circle and Rest of Tamilnadu – ‘A’ Category Circle in Telecom).

From 5th operators have got license and considered as only one circle – Tamilnadu.

    Fact – 2:

For e.g : Still Aircel Tamil Nadu and Vodafone Tamil Nadu won’t allowed its customers to opt F & F (add-on) Aircel Chennai / Vodafone Chennai numbers.

Likewise, a Chennai Aircel / Chennai Vodafone user cannot opt F&F (add-on) any Tamil Nadu Aircel / Tamil Nadu Vodafone number.

But Airtel & BSNL is allowed to opt add-on (F&F) any Chennai & RoTN Airtel and BSNL Numbers.

Nowadays, Aircel is the leading and No.1 network in Chennai and RoTN Circles; it provides different STV recharge denomination for Chennai and Tamilnadu Circle.

Hey. Who told. In Airtel prepaid, you can even call Chennai customer care 9840198401 to know the details about your Tamilnadu number and vice versa. Call to 9840198401 is free (talking to customer care may be charged).

But if you cann 9841012345 in Aircel and ask details about Tamilnadu Aircel, they won’t provide info and the call is chargeable also (even for hearing IVR).

I don’t know in the case of BSNL and Vodafone.

Even after merging Tamilnadu and Chennai circles, the MNC is different.

In case of Airtel, Chennai MNC is INA 40 and Tamilnadu is INA 94. For Chennai Aircel, it is INA 41 and for Tamilnadu it is INA 42. For Chennai Vodafone it is INA 84 and for Tamilnadu it is INA 43 and so on. Better to put Rs.44 with same benefits every 30 days. Rs.132 STV does not give any profit to the user who recharges for 90 days.

    About Rs.213 STV :
Has BSNL gone mad?. Who will pay for more that too per minute billing?.

BSNL IS THE WORST CHEATING BASTARD. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY CONSISTENCY IN EVEN AFTER USING STV44, THE IDIOT IS CHARGING 1 PAISE / SECOND TO 1.2 PAISE / SECOND FOR LOCAL CALLS AND RARELY CHARGES Q PAISE / SECOND. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT CHEATING BASTARDS.

EVEN AFTER CHARGING WITH RS.101, THE 350MB 3G INTERNET IS NEVER WORKING.
THEY HAVE BECOME THE BIGGEST CHEATING BASTARDS FOLLOWING 1. DOCOMO 2.AIRTEL 3.AIRCEL.

THIS IS THE CASE IN TAMILNADU.

Mumbai & Maharashtra, Kolkatta & West Bengal, Chennai & Tamil Nadu, are all different circles…the three cities and Delhi are metro circles which are different from State wide telecom circles !
