@ Rai – 499 unlimited plan is offering only 256kbps speed and you are getting almost that. BSNL offers a wide variety of plans..some for speed others for unlimited usage , some other for economical usage for common man… pick the right plan for ur need and im sure you won’t be disappointed.

i have plan 250 with 1 gb usage i got 1.8 mbps, you have plan of 512kbps upto 6GB then after 6GB your speed reduced to 256kbps.
you may opt unlimited plan 750( 1 mbps upto 6 GB), plan 850( 2 mbps upto 8 GB), plan 900( 4 mbps upto 8GB)

I just got BB from BSNL. Its plan 499 unlimited. I did a speed test and got .23 Mbps download speed and .28 Mbps upload speed. Its still slow. I was in the UK and the internet there is lightening fast!! After experiencing the internet in the UK for over three years, I find the internet speed in India is waaaaaaaaaayyyyy too slow.

bsnl introduced 1mb speed for 750ul custemers upto 6gb d/l.afterwards it is only 512 kbs.this is ULD(UNLIMITED DIFFERENTIAL ).BUT IT IS IMPLEMENTED ONLY FOR CUSTEMERS IN P3.IT IS NOT IMPLEMENTED LAKHS OF P2 CUSTEMERS THROUGT COUNTRY.BSNL INTD IT WITHOUT STUDYING FIELD PROBLEMS.TRANSFER OF ALL CUSTEMERS FROM P2 TO P3 ALSO NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE P2 CUSTOMERS WILL GET BB UPTO DISTANCE OF 7KMS WHERE AS P3 CUSOMERS WILL GET UPTO MAXIMUM OF 4KMS.
ONLY SOLUTION IS GIVE 1MB SPEED TO LONG DISTANCE CUSTEMERS IN P2 AND TRANSFER ALL CUSTEMERS SHORT DISTANCE (UP TO 4KMS) TO P3 TO GET CUSTOMER SATISFACTION&ALSO TO RETAIN ALL P2 CUSTOMERS IN BSNL
