BSNL has come up with a new Special Tariff Voucher for allowing customer to enjoy cheaper Local calling like never before. As we have seen earlier this tariff is being now widely continued by several operators.
The price of the new STV is Rs.33 and by opting this BSNL customer can call any local number at 1p/2Sec for a period of 30 days.
Others charges will be as per BSNL’s PPS plan. And this STV will be available throughout the country from 19.06.2012 onwards (from today).
Remember this is just a STV not any plan voucher, so to enjoy this tariff you should be in a proper plan.

BSNL Special Tariff Voucher – STV 35 for 1p/2sec has been implemented in TN circle (including Chennai) w.e.f 09.8.12.

The news came on 19th July but it is not yet implemented in Chennai. The customer care people requires awareness programme and necessary training before they appointed. If we ask technically more, they simply cut the call, otherwise they blame the system. (system is slow).
Please implement 1p for 2 sec STV soon, since all other operators have all ready implemented and they have i year validity for this scheme also.

cheating bsnl say booster at cheaper but no implement. for example 1p-2sec boster to all local network for gsm in tamiladu only at bsnl website. booster like ex; 40p local&std -40rs only at news at web no implament and traiff confuse tne people to use bsnl like contine plan voucher and booster also. no traiff sheet in shop also even sigle shop coimbatore in tamilnadu

This STV is avialable in Haryana circle for Rs.32 and if someone activates via SMS it charges you Rs.28.40 only as service tax is not charged by BSNL for activations via sms.
To activate via sms, HELPVOICE and send it to 52244 which is a toll free number. You will receive 3 voice plans in sms, keep on replying with M for more plans until Rs.32 STV option arrives as it is on number 11.
Similarlly you can activate SMS packs by sending HELP SMS, 2G Packs by sending HELP DATA2, 3G Packs by sending HELP DATA3.
The best part is you will get the service for less cost if you activate via sms. I activated Rs.270 2G pack which provides 10GB and it costed me Rs.240.30 only. BSNL network in Ambala is very good and I select 3G network to get 256Kbps constant speed. 3G indoor signal remains always full in my area but their 3G network is not present everywhere and limited to cities only. Also 2G network is too bad in many parts of Haryana. But, I love BSNL as it is providing good services in my city.

I think this is the “Circle Specific STV” for some B & C Cirles.

Till now, there is no such type of Special Tariff Voucher in both Chennai, Pondicherry and Tamilnadu Circle.
I think, as of now this STV applicable in 6 to 7 Circles in India.
In Southern State Concern, This STV avail in Kerala.
There is no idea about AP, KA.

Its still not avaiilable here till 2nd July.Tried to do this recharge via Lappu as well as Internet.Even calling the helpline no 1503 doesnt help as they are yet not aaware of it. BSNL pls clarify???

i am from kerala. i recharged with STV33 by sms ( STV33 SENT TO 53733) but another offer (1500 SMS 15 DAYS) activated !!!!!. I call back to Customer care and they informed that in Kerala the offer is at STV37. ie TYPE STV37 then send to 53733. I did the same and the offer activted in my number. BSNL ROCKING !!!!!!

The RC 33 plan has been launched in PAN india basis from 19/06/12. But sometimes the IN of respective circle do not able to implement the plan from same date due to various reason. If you want to activate a specific plan or power it is safe to activate it after 3-4 days from the date of implementation.

i dnt consider uninor docomo in my operators list. here everyone needs quality and people are willing to pay more. there is no doubt why vodafone and idea leads they have excellent coverage and voice clarity. airtel and bsnl have good coverage and good voice clarity and are cheaper than voda n idea. docomo and uninor are used by low class people or as second sim.

whoever is comparing bsnl with uninor/docomo/aircel is a fool. here uninor docomo aircel are so poor in coverage and voice clarity so it does not matter even if they give schemes for free. i dnt mind paying somemore if it provides better quality.
here in guj
docomo 1p/2sec – rs 30 per month (coverage 80% in state but no quality)
airtel – 37 per month and bsnl 33 per month both have good coverage and good quality.
so bsnl is good given that it has all india coverage.

After reading the news that BSNL launches new STV of 33, I hav ercharged my cell no.9428087750 wit 33. I hav got the confirmation frm BSNL abt recharge. But surprisingly my calrate is not changed & when i complain cust.care abt that, they say there is not such STV in Gujarat circle. What a poor Service/reply! pls. dont waste ur money without verify cust.care.

here in chennai operators like AIRCEL,VODAFONE FAILED TO PROVIDE 1P/2SEC PLAN AT AFFORDABLE RATE !
Aircel now became costlier operator in chennai ! It gives STD @ 30ps/min for STV 27 but local @ 30ps/min for STV 64 ! Bad cc response , like to port out from their network !

It is STV37 in Kerala. At present it can be only activated through flexi/c-top up. Recharge with Rs 37 to activate the service. SMS activation will be available in a couple of days.

This is very good move, when compared with leading cartel airtel,vodafone, idea.
Don’t blindly compare with BSNL & DOCOMO.
BSNL has owned around 68000 2G- GSM- 900MHZ BTS coverage in India.
DoCoMO has owned around 20,000 2G- GSM 1800 MHZ BTS in India.
900 Mhz Network will cover 15-25 Km Radius with 950 Mobile Number Connectivity.
1800 Mhz Network will cover 2-4 Km Radius with 460 Mobile Number Connectivity.
BSNL network is strongly covered throughout India.
In India the leading network is airtel, vodafone, idea, reliance, BSNL, then only DoCoMo, aircel, Uninor, MTS, etc.,

Despite bad service, one redeeming feature of BSNL is it does not withdraw STVs like this quietly, like cartel of Voda-Idea-Airtel. For instance, Vodafone quietly raised Rs 33 bonus card tariff by increasing 1p/2sec. tariff to 1.2p/2s now in AP. I believe that BSNL once introduced an STV, it keeps it for longer time than the private operators who suddenly change or withdraw it. TATA Docomo has increased the tariff quietly from 1.2 paise for first 60 seconds of the day to 1.5 paise recently, without any announcement. But it unscrupulously telling people that they can avail 1p/2seconds benefit for just Rs 21 per month. In fact, the real cost of this voucher is Rs 39 per month.

Circles can suitably adjust the MRP in the price band upto Rs. 5 (+/-) of above price considering the local market condition and technical feasibility. So, I think the the difference may because of the above reason.

To clarify my location I’m posting this. It seems that all operators want people to use 3G not 2G. Increase in 2G plan and decrease in 3G and still the price is nowhere symmetrical or in good proportion.

BSNL West Bengal will take time to start. As STV 135 is yet to start in West Bengal but already started in Bsnl Kolkata. Better buy a Kolkata BSNL sim and you will get all the offers up to date and in time.

Good offer. But not at all very good. The validity should be of more than 30 days. Their rural coverage is also not very good. Here from last day onwards I’m unable to use their net in 2G mode whereas in 3G it’s working fine. But after a long time BSNL provides a good offer. So I’m happy.
