BSNL Introduces 3G Data Recharge through SMS Facility in Kerala

National telecom Backbone and Pan India 3G service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of SMS based 3G Data  Voucher activation facility for its prepaid customers in Kerala telecom circle.

Now BSNL 3G customers in Kerala circle, can recharge or activate any 3G Data Plan from Rs.10 to Rs.3000 including Short Validity/ Longer Validity plans and 3G Data Top-Up just by an SMS. To activate 3G Data plan voucher, customer has to send SMS DATA (Price of Voucher) to 53733 (toll free). For example to activate data voucher of denomination Rs.300, customer has to send SMS DATA300 to 53733.

With the SMS based 3G Data recharge, customer who has enough balance in their prepaid account can recharge with desired 3G Data Plans without going retailer or BSNL outlets to get data recharged.

    when i switched to 3G mode the main balance is not reducing,but the plan is gprs7 daily 100MB how dis happen?? and i use apn bsnlnet and i’m getting faster net access,i’m using blackberry bold 9780 with no blackbery service

    This means new tariff is not implemented by Maharashtra, as some states implement after few days of all india launch of that particular scheme.

    You first need to migrate to 3G by sending SMS M3G120 to 53733. Then after migration in abt a day or so…u recharge with ur 3G data pack. Also enable other configurations like gprspre to 53733. I don’t know in ur circle , but in hyd this procedure is must. After lot of hits and trials I got this procedure. As usua

    How did u check this….used code pl. In hyd also CC says same day night concept, but when I check with*234# its not mentioned day night. It only mentions 3072 units and the validity period.

    Bsnl has become like private operator the 601 voucher in Maharashtra and Goa though published to give data benefit of 3 GB any time of day for 90 days, after recharge it was noticed by me that 1 Gb is for Day and 2 Gb is for night both valid of 90 days

    Yes Arun, the SIM card doesn’t matter. What matters is if you have a 3G enabled handset.
