How can BSNL 3G compete with MTS which gives 10 GB at a speed of 3.1Mbps, and then 144kbps unlimited in prepaid? Reliance Broadband plus gives the same offer. Only if BSNL 3G tariff becomes comeptetive like CDMA players, 3G will become popular.(the same BSNL gives 1.5 Mbps constant speed in their EVDO network with unlimited data for just Rs.750 a month- they could have simply increase their EVDO network, but these bums are not doing it, thereby denying chance for cheap data to rural customers! WHAT A PITY! GO TO HELL WITH YOUR 3G, EXPAND EVDO NETWORK INSTEAD BSNL!)

For 2G customers, 3G network will give 512Kbps. 3G customers in 3G network will get maximum speed.

all Network have 2 type signal
1- CS network = call service
2- PS network = packet service

cs network is always max signal
while ps network Lower in all network

so u need to -90dbm cs network signal to
get Ps network full speed (bcoz need good TX RX Power)
& minimum -99dbm is required for avrage speed

PEOPLE SAY BSNL IS BEST, I AGREE BUT NOT IN TECHNICAL BASED PROBLEMS. i am facing problem with bsnl. in my room when i connect to internet in my laptop by a data card( d link usb modem ). the speed is 10 kb/sec, when i take my laptop to the barandah, the speed increases by 1 mbps ( rs 54 data card ). i cant surf internet in my room. although the singal is full, to download i have to take my laptop to barandah. the problem is channel or port problem. i got so many call from bsnl. but they could not solve my problem. the signal come from same tower in room and barandah. i am upset.

Bsnl 3g coverage is good specially in 2 tier n 3 tire cities and mtnl 3g working fine while roaming on bsnl. In pune bsnl 3g far better from other opertaors in terms of coverage.

bsnl 3g speed is max 64kB/s=512kbps
    in HSPA+ K4504 28mbps modem

    many complant done.
after it bsnl technician tested this speed @ my home
wid bsnl 7.2mbps modem ..by using internet download manager

but they unalbe to provide more speed (max67kB/s)
told me its depended on its user so we cant do anything about speed

the most affordable plan right now in the market…if they want to compete against photon or mts they should make these plans permanent instead..
